What a great actor he was. I can't image anyone but Fernando Rey as Frog One. A fine accidental casting I must say.
Rey made that character -- Frog One -- his own. Legend.
It may have been a mistake but boy, what a lucky break! Fernando Rey is perfect in the part and was even better in the sequel!
And he was perfect.
And Fernando Rey was terrific. Perfect casting. You don't want a man who looks like a Corsican thug. You want a dapper gentleman who looks NOTHING like the typical image of a drug dealer.
By the way, Francisco Rabal was also a wonderful actor
