Yeah DL has always been known 2 be more vocal outside of games aswell.
Hearing their comms now vs the beginning/middle of the split are night and day. So much clearer. Felt like everyone was trying to just talk over each other

I totally missed Busio's lantern flash to take DL to safety at 9:25 when I watched live. That's such a great reaction from him to totally deny IMT anything. Really sick to see the confidence to use flash in such a creative way on stage, especially in a rookie support.

I’ve watched bjerg in comms for years, this is the first time seeing him aggressively lead comms. It’s kinda funny, but their rocket isn’t stopping 🚀🚀🚀
just noticed every player is shotcalling a super personalized info set:
Closer will typically shotcall what he's gonna do to the enemy team (I'm engaging) and point his team towards these actions (the famous; shutup and follow up on my play)
DL will typically shotcall where he thinks the enemy team is emotionally (their scared they won't step up lets force something) and also speak into his team emotionally (don't be scared)
Bjerg seems to give really good in the moment direction (yelling who to focus mid teamfight to ensure everyone's on the same page even in these intense moments)
Busio is really good at keeping track of information and giving it when relevant or asked for
Tenacity updates the team on his gamestate and activities which is useful when on an island (called out his jax vs renek solo kill 1 minute or so before it happened in a match the other week)
Super cool how evenly spread out the teams focus and personalities are. I think when they're in their groove they may be my favorite team right now bias aside, even with how we've seen they look not in their pocket lol
This is a really clever observation. I like that you called out Doublelift's emotional role, as that often goes overlooked but is still an important part of the team dynamic.

I’ll say it once more. Give Closer a raise!!! He managed to somehow merge this team together. He is the glue. Also Nukeduck is a god at drafting with them. He mixed in the comfort picks of everyone with solid comps and that has been huge.
This is such an odd thing to credit Closer with. No one person can make a team merge together. There are many things Closer is great at, but you have no idea who, if anyone, has been most instrumental with bringing them together. On the other hand, his mechanics, game-sense, and shot-calling has been excellent in the last few weeks.

You can target ban the ADC but you won’t be able to stop good comms and calls. DL just focusing on his game while having insane shotcalling and playmaking from his team is a sight to behold. Hoping for some great games against FLY!
Agreed. It's always DL's best look. Do you remember the comms videos earlier in the season? DL was more vocally active and it seemed to be distracting him a bit from actually playing (like his baron call that caused the losing backdoor :D ). But now, with him having faith in the team to communicate and guide him, he is able to stay laser-focused on what he does best: pressing the damn buttons.

@@barney2120 It made a great difference. I remember early in the season Bjerg was occasionally deferring to other people's shot-calls. Now that they have worked out that he is the primary leader and strategist for teamfights, they look *much* sharper. But it's also good that the others still feel able to callout opportunities - like Busio calling out his patient, devastating engage where he ambushed them at Baron.
