We all know Hazmat is the most biased commentator out there when it comes to FGC's. He plays them himself and clearly loves those characters, there's nothing wrong with that, but he's far from objective. Tweek destroyed Riddles in that first (or was it second?) game only to lose two stocks to two raw EWGF's, two single interactions. That's just stupid
Alot of the Super Heavies tend to have incredibly strong Bairs especially with rage, Bowser, King K Rool and Charizard can do the same with more range.
His damage is amazing across the board. That would be okay if he didn't have EWGF. A move that leads into true zero to death combo's and true kills at 70-80, and low profiles with upper body invincibility, and is frame 8 and less laggy than G&W upsmash, is just too strong. You can't play footsies or neutral against a character with an unpunishable safe to throw out kill move like that and you can see it clearly with how unwilling Tweek is to interact

@@hismashbros1704 he has no disjointed aerials to cover his landing, is floaty, and has a 7 frame jump squat. His disadvantage IS bad. Disadvantage state is based on both the character’s tools and the player’s skills.
@@nathanlevesque7812 Restands or resets in traditional fighting games allow for a character to finish a combo early and "reset" the situation into a mixup that's often surprising for the defender and hard to beat. The reason riddles did this was to get a kill that he wouldn't have otherwise if he finished the combo. Hope that helps!
This matchup would feel so frustrating for Kazuya. Monkey flip and Banana can make Kazuya struggle to get in as Diddy hits Kazuya 10-15 times for every one hit on Kazuya, but Riddles went for lots of optimal routes includes his air hits for good stray damage

If you watch a lot of riddles, his strategy was to play Kazuya specifically against players he knows are better than him so he can try to cheese a win. Nothing wrong with that, he's playing to the characters strengths, but Kazuya is definitely an absurdly stupidly designed character. He realized he can just play Kazuya for everyone and its better. Plus im pretty sure Light annhilates his Terry every time and he was focusing on Terry for years

Yeah but think of the characters themselves… diddy has a better neutral (faster, good projectile being banana, actually great projectile lol, and better frame data.) and then kazuya is objectively worse in all those categories, but he hits SO much harder. Kazuya (especially riddles Kazyua) only has to win a handful of interactions to win.
That's how the character was balanced since Sm4sh. He wins Neutral (basically for free with Banana in some MUs) but he needs to win said Neutral 5 times more than his opponent. Against Kazuya, he had to win a lot more because of how heavy Kazuya is.... but that's where Kazuya thrives. He wants to get to Rage and then one-touch kill the opponent back.
Well yeah. Kazuya sucks at neutral. He moves slow, jumps slow, and has horrible disadvantage state. Kazuya would need good reward if he actually lands a hit

It is more likely that you will win more often with Kazuya by just mashing buttons than with any other character. I invested a lot of time in Marth, but if I make just few mistakes against a mediocre Kazuya player, I loose.

Rob is a carry character hence why there are so many Robs. Kazuya isn't hence why there are very few of them. A character with that much technical requirements and egregious short comings can't carry.

Bowser is %22 I believe. Kazuya gets a %10 damage buff when rage drive is up

Kazuya feels like a final boss. Once he hits you, you die. But, he has a huge disadvantage to balance it out. Also, he has high hp(weight)
