@@applee2394 it's like an "era" in kpop, it is the same as how we are categorized based on what year we are born (boomers, gen x, millennial, gen z) example if a grp was debuted on late 90's to early 2000's, they are the 1st gen (like the start of kpop wave), 2nd gen are the 2005/2006 to early 2010's (probably only around 2011) where kpop starting to spread or be known across the globe (hallyu wave), 2012/2013 to 2016 are 3rd gen where they continue to spread and make kpop more known worldwide, and 2017 until now are the grps in 4th gen (new, fresh and different concepts), they are usually labelled as what are the changes/trends in kpop on the time they are debuted. It's hard to explain but I hope u get the point 😅
