They have already had that referendum and the Scottish public voted NO accept that.

Nothing more than a childish publicity stunt to garner more support amongst the sweatys back home.

I thought there was a "once in a life time" vote in 2014, just 8 years ago.

No, you're not correct. The actual agreement was that Scotland retains the right to revisit the issue at any time. Btw the present PM said that the last GE was once in a lifetime. Do you stand by that too? I certainly don't.

@@sheilaroderick9123 In 2014, Alex Salmond, Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP agreed publicly that the independence referendum was a once-in-a-lifetime vote. So, there should not be another referendum for at least 40 years, even if the SNP wins another mandate however there is no mandate as only a third of the electorate voted for the SNP at Holyrood last year.

How can he compare the EU “allowing us”a referendum on leaving, as though they had a say. This is why we chose to leave. We were a “member” of the EU, Scotland are a “part” of the UK. No comparison.

Clearly he's rather ignorant. He doesn't know the Commons rules. He doesn't know the UK constitution. He doesn't know the EU articles governing Brexit. What else, I wonder?

I'm Scottish and I'm absolutely sick to death of this. There already has been 2 referendums in my lifetime both of which we voted to stay a part of the UK. They will do this every few years until they get the answer they want. Scottish politicians make me so dumb angry. When they built the parliament building they imported stone from China when there are several excellent granite and sandstone quarries in Scotland and so much for their green agenda importing most of the building materials from Europe and much much further. When I was at school we were always told that on official documents we should always call ourselves British not Scottish . I am very proud to be Scottish but I'm British first

The Scots did get conned by Cameron that the UK would stay in the EU. Perhaps if they'd known that staying in the UK meant leaving the EU the result may very well have been different. Nonetheless this character is a full on tosser.
