  • Boston Celtics signed two-year deal with Oshae Brissett, the 25-year-old forward. Here are his best highlights from the 2022-23 NBA season as he averaged 6.1 PPG (on 39-31-72 shooting splits) to go with 3.4 RPG in 65 games played for Indiana Pacers.

    good comp tomasz!
    positives:
    -hustles, hardworker with a high-motor
    -good rebounder for a wing, especially on the offensive glass ranking in the 66th percentile
    -good hands, doesnt turn the ball over ranking in the 81st percentile in ball security
    negatives:
    -bad shooter, 31% from 3, bound to launch some airballs
    -inefficient offense ranking in the 23rd percentile, takes bad shots
    -bad defender, ranking in the 48th percentile, tends to defend with hands instead of hips
    -not a ball mover, ranking in the 12th percentile in playmaking, ball sticks
    overall i'd grade this a D. C at best. brad whiffed here when there were similarly priced players who have better performance like damion lee. still, he addresses a position of need. at least we didnt get a pg for the nth time! now brad, lets not whiff on getting a big. Get Bazley!

  • @d3peeto
    @d3peeto ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Now with Grant gone and Jordan Walsh being signed I think I can piece some bits together.
    Grants contract was too dear for the Celtics, the money would not have matched the minutes. Grant is good and now a little too good for what we can afford. Good for him, he got that paper and a good role. I think the team is moving towards a direction of really supporting the key guys - specialist defenders, good rebounders, hustlers to complement Tatum and Brown.
    Grant was good in stretches let’s be honest, he wasn’t great over a season. He had some great moments in the post season but generally was the loud mouthed and at times hot head on the team.
    Mazzulla isn’t a man of many words and I think their personalities didn’t match at all. We’re definitely stacking up on players that just play. No talk and just do the fucking job. To that I’m generally fine with losing Grant, I think this team is getting the right shake up they needed.
    Brissett just looks like a hard nosed defender and rebounder. Looks like him and Walsh will pick up where Smart and Grant left off.
