I'm Classic Rock audiophilic phollow Phish and used to follow the Dead around as well. I have always loved the Smiths and Morrissey. I Got Queen is dead, in I think '83. I have always dug Morrissey's expression vocally as well as stage presence. Rock on.🎶🎶🎵🎶🔥💯✌️☮️🕊️
Also, much of the stuff Johnny Marr did after The Smiths is underrated. He did a lot of guest appearances on various artists albums and always raised the bar for whoever he was collaborating with.
Discovered The Smiths in college. We played a lot of their tunes on the radio. I loved Morrissey's almost operatic style. There Is A Light was an early favorite. Queen is Dead is one of my favorite albums of all time. If you know more than this album you should do a Smiths top 10. I saw Morrissey back in the 90s. He did not play any Smiths at the time. I think he does now.
I was obsessed with The Smiths in 1980's. I bought every single from This Charming Man onwards on release week as well as their 4 studio albums. 2 compliation albums and 1 live album. I managed to see them twice live and they were brilliant. The Queen is Dead is my 2nd favourite album of the 90's behing Adam & the Ants Kings of the Wild Frontier. If you are interested Peter, I ranked all the singles and 4 albums in one video a couple of years ago. It may be useful if you want to explore the band any further.
I don't really like the Smiths rather listen to 70s Ted Nugent or something that rocks. I'll listen to some brit pop like Oasis but i just dont like Morriseys voice.

The Headmaster Ritual is my favourite song.
Awesome. I’ll give that a listen.

That’s awesome, Richard. I’ll definitely take a look at the video you did on them.
I just know a few songs. I really like How Soon is Now.
Yes, that’s a great one.
