A Deeper Sense of Surrender

The title of this talk was my spiritual teacher Rudi's last words, which so aptly summarize his life. For me and many others he became a major link to deeper surrender. He also said "pain is God's love". In my experince, pain triggers awareness of what we need to let go of. As such it is Divine Grace. Life, with all its pain, joy, etc., is a gift, not a punishment. As Kahlil Gibran writes: "Pain is needed to break the shell of our limited understanding." In a surrendered state we can be a witness to the transformation of awareness.
