I thank the OTRRG for this. I was born toward the very end of the Golden Age of Radio, but I well remember listening to the various programs every evening. We had a radio the size of a grand piano, and it took five minutes for it to warm up and start working.

That “Trust Silver Dust” ad at 58:58 sounds straight out of The Music Man, but that came years later! I wonder if Meredith Willson wrote that spot!
