I find it so funny how people hate on neutrals now when it's been so trendy for a while. I wouldn't even call this neutral, wall moulding is more in the maximalist sphere in my mind. I love neutrals as well. It's practical, it's calm, and it gives you space to live and be creative, which is what a house should be!

What did you use to measure the distance when your hubby install the moulding? Looks like a laser light. Is there any link to get it?
We used a laser light! He had it pre measured with pencil lines on the wall & used the laser light to guide him! Not too sure where its from but most hardware stores will have them! Ours is a pretty cheap one so doesn't need to be fancy or expensive!

Looks absolutely gorgeous!! Would you consider adding wardrobe doors, maybe some with moulding ? I feel it would tie that final wall into the sleek room so much
We might- haven't decided yet! We have some other projects we want to prioritize first but we think we'll put doors on the wardrobe down the line😊
Are the sconces hardwired? You guys did a great job!!
Nope- they are more decorative (we didn't want the hassle of having to re-route our wires) but have battery operated light bulbs in them in case we need to use them!

We just got the cheapest one we could find at Home Depot and put it on one of my tripods off Amazon! I think it was like $40 CAD!

1) Yes, I loved this style of blog!
2) Thank you for all the tips you shared! Not sure why I never thought of thrifting coffee table books.
3) Thank you for breaking the coast down as well! (I'm in the US) This was very helpful because I plan to move this year and really want to make my new home/aparetment represent my boyfriend and I's better better than just taking "hamie downs" with our first place.
Side Note: The song played at 4:06 was either really loud or super high pitched (to me) so I had to lower the video significantly. Not sure if I'm jus more noise sensitive. Please always do you if you liked it, I'm just sharing my thoughts in hopes it comes across as supportive. :)

I love the style but detest all things Ikea. It's just cheap crap. I find it's much better to just spend more on quality furniture especially if you really know you're gonna be using that furniture long term. If you have to assemble a million pieces, it's junk
I totally see where you are coming from- people either love or hate IKEA! I think it really depends on the product! We're super happy with our IKEA bed 🥰 I wanted to show people that you can create a beautiful room on a budget! I'm sure down the line we will invest in a pricey high quality bed but for now this does the trick and honestly IKEA is what most people can afford! ✨
