I read through a different translation each year. The Complete Jewish Study Bible and CSB Chronological Bible really helped clear up confusion I had about the Old Testament and Prophecy. I mark the daily reader with tabs, and write in a separate Bible Journal. It helps me greatly, to set aside the Sabbath for nothing but reading, Bible teaching videos, art, and prayer walks. Your love for the Word inspired me. Thanks Cat!
I’m glad your heart is recovering Cat. My husband is in the hospital this Christmas for cancer treatment, he will be there until January 4th. I got an ESV interleaved Bible for Christmas, so I want to try to use it all year for notetaking, prayer and documenting 2024. Who knows what it will bring for us. I am praying for a miracle. Thank you Cat. Such a lovely line up. I just love your videoes and they always encourage and inspire me so much. This year i read the Bible twice - thank the Lord. (One of the reasons was because you talked about pushing through when reading the Word) It has been so amazing and transformative. And now i have set a new goal for the coming year, to read the Bible 4 times, each in 90 days. There is nothing more important than being in Gods Word, soaking it up. The things in the Old Testament are precursors to and connect to the prophecy of Jesus and the sacrifice of Jesus and also testimonies and stories of the faithfulness of God. There is so much in the Old Testatment that is connected to our lives now and to what's happening in our world now. It's absolutely amazing the little nuggets of God that are in the Bible cover to cover.
That's why I push it sooo much on the channel. We don't read only the NT over here. Nope we read the whole Bible Genesis to Revelation

Your very welcome sis. I worry about being so straight forward sometimes because people don't like it at all. They always want to hear the cherry coated stuff but I'm more worried about their souls drawing closer to God and being Prepared for the spiritual battles ahead then worry about somebody hurting my feelings because they didn't like what I said 🙏🫶💕
Oh I so agree with you on the Church Bible Publishers, they need to put better paper in if they want that much money for their Bibles (and add a box)... I also bought a camo Bible from them in the mid-$50 too, and love it to pieces. At the price they want now I won't go back until they improve things. Happy New Year, Cat! 🤠

The ESV Student Study Bible is one of my favorites; it's just so handy. I'm doing a straight through study this year. I'm using that one, along with NET The Text, CSB Study Bible, and the Berean Standard Bible. I'm using the Filament app to have study material available when I'm using a bible that doesn't have any.

The Amplified Version was the first Bible I started reading when I got back into Bible reading and I found all the helps really helpful
I love my new Bible. It is simply called The Prayer Bible" . Good margins and suggested prayers. I only use NKJ version as it is the only one that I can find with Jesus's pronouns capitalized as they should be not only for His deity but for a clearer understanding of the text.
Cat, I love you and your honesty! Thanks for sharing this video!! I am planning to invest in my first premium Bible in 2024! LOVE the pink Humble Lamb but kind of want to wait until they come out with the second edition and a couple of those simple errors are fixed. Do you happen to know when they will come out with second edition? Do you find those errors a big deal? I don't think they are a huge deal, but I also am making an investment and a $200-some Bible is a big deal, so I just want to be certain before making that kind of purchase.

Hi Cat, I discovered I’m the same way, the self pronouncing text slows me down too LOL. I only have one Bible with self pronouncing text and I don’t use it because it has that effect on me too. I just stumble over it.

Good morning! My family calls me a “Bible Hoarder” because I have so many Bibles 😊. Now I can explain why I need them all!! 😂
When I first became a Christian I was in the NIV every day. I did buy all the different translations of the Bible’s because I could not get enough of The LORD. Now I’m King James only. The King James Version is the only version that has the complete Bible text. But the other easier translations are the milk, and the KJV is definitely the meat.
I love single-column paragraphs. Hate the number on the side though. Seems like it would be distracting. But maybe it action it wouldn’t.
If your talking about the Schuyler Treveris yes the verses on the side fade away. More so than the verse numbers in the actual text like all the other layouts

The prices of everything has gone up, right or wrong, it just is. The quality of groceries hasn't gone up either but those prices have increased about the same percentage as that bible, maybe more.
That's exactly what I say... I know everything gone up its Inflation still all premium Bible collectors know exactly what I'm talking about
I must agree with your assessment of CBP. I will not buy more from them due to the poor paper quality. And why would I pay $200 for a CBP Bible when I can get a Schuyler or Cambridge for the same price?
That's a lot for a Bible. I need something less expensive

I have a Treveris and it is wonderful, except for one thing I do not like. The number of the verse is on the left margin, which is okay, but which sentence is it on the inside of the line? Hard to find sometimes. Other than that, I hope to get used to it. 😇
That's easy when sentence end that's the end of the first verse (or #) so when you see the Capital letter new verse. 👍🏻 Not difficult at all
Sometimes there is more than one, though. Not often, but as I said, I will get used to it. I use this Bible daily.🙂

If you like the ESV and enjoy a single column text block, Crossway is publishing the Heritage in true tone for around $35-40. It’s amazing for reading and has great reviews. I know Cat has done many reviews on this bible.

No they don't ask persay. They see it whenever we sit down watch a movie or talk etc. I always have my Bible out & opened

I do agree with that..about joyce meyers...GOD bless her...but when we open our bibles we dont want to open up to gloom despair and agony on me...we want to open our bibles and get "gobsmacked" with the word of the LORD.. with the holy spirit if u will

I believe her message has a time and a place for it.... just like everything else 😌 that Bible really helped strengthen me on my spiritual journey when I was a baby Christian so just because I can't relate to it now or anymore. I will never discouraged anyone else from reading from it. 🙏🫶💕
