I have thoughts! [put my sunglasses on]
1. the band stated they wanted an easy, chuggy song to get the crowd going - the simple drumbeat creats that grooviness for me (I also think when these guys play live, Christopher Wallerstedt needs at some point a song to give his legs some rest)
2. There is a Laid to Rest cover by Shadow of Intent
3. Have you guys checked out the full discography of OC? Redfog EP has a track that is really unique and sounds a bit different - it's one of my absolute favourites by Orbit Culture (The Newborn One)

I hate that people keep comparing Orbit Culture to Metallica because they're litterally miles apart, though I understand why. It's mostly because of Niklas's Hetfield-esque clean vocals.
Yet i have to admit that Orbit Culture and Metallica are so much alike in more ways than that. Chris is like Lars because he seems to play what comes naturally to the track, even if it makes poor sense by itself. His influence in the Orbit Culture sound is as paramount as Niklas's vocals but the greatness of the drum beat is definately easier to miss.
Would love a Orbit Culture Lamb of God tribute! The Metallica tribute of Hardwired is really good. You know that on the first Orbit Culture EP Odyssey the Lamb of God influence is more clear?
