Sounds like Aqua has just got a better hold of her social battery, especially around people she's already comfortable with. Anyone who's either an introvert or is familiar with how we think know that our brains tend to work overtime with every bit of social interaction, thinking about so many things, that it's what drains our "social battery." However, being around people we're comfortable with, or in environments we're comfortable with, can help shut all the extra thinking the brain does up, helping slow down the drain on our social batteries.
Prolly needs to recharge her social battery for 3-6 months after that 😂😂😂

I think Aqua actively wants to be social. She wants to make friends with people. It's just that she has a lot of social anxiety. However, her friendships in Hololive have given her a lot of confidence. I feel like she's a hidden social introvert who is very happy when familiar people approach her.
Pekora is a case of someone who is a hyper-introvert that is most comfortable communicating through the internet. Her social battery starts ticking down the moment she leaves her room. But don't misunderstand. Pekora values friendships extremely highly. She just likes being in her room, lol.

Silly onion... Seems she's a little different off-stream than what we're used to seeing. :) Can kind of relate though. I also get excited and get a little confidence boost when I meet new people. Because y'know... It can be dull to be with the same people over and over again as an introvert, especially for professional relationships.

Aqua has been a veteran idol for almost 7 years, the shy part wouldn't be possible if she had to do her activities with the public and the official side. She is playing up her shy part on stream as part of her character lol.
Given the evidence, it's far more likely Aqua just learned to deal with Public events and gatherings in the course of seven years.

Aqua has always been interested in socializing, just very terrible with the how. She is type of introvert that have the urge to join in whenever she sees people having fun together, but ended up in the corner alone most of the time because she just can't bring herself to join in.
Additionally Pekora is the type of introvert that won't even try to socializing unless it's very necessary.
During the sister marine and father fubuki confession stream, Aqua confessed she was shy, but not current shy shy. But her playing full introvert everyday, it gaslighted herself where she became super introverted.
I just came from Towa’s clip, it’s all the work of the people she’s grown close to in Hololive that she’s able to confidently socialize with others she’s not too familiar with. I think without her close friends she would find it a lot more difficult to approach people, unless the other initiates first.
Nah. All stories about her so far has her being shy but still trying to socialize. Very different from pekora who tries not to socialize
