Shotmechanics tips are so helpful. I was trying to work on my handles and 10 minutes later a video pops up and says tips to help you get better handles. He is so amazing I’m telling you
Super glad that you highlighted "rocking the feet" and its importance! I've noticed that some of the best ball-handlers of all time (e.g., Allen Iverson, Kyrie Irving, and Jamal Crawford immediately come to mind) have done and/or do do this on their crossovers all of the time! (S/N: For those of you who are new to this channel: I've been following this man for years; and I can tell you, Coach Collin is LEGIT!)
Wowwww this crazy! I was just watching the top ball-handling high school players, as well as the top professional players, handle the ball and I noticed that they were rocking their feet a lot. Now this video reinforces what I was learning. Thx for the video Coach!
If your reading this (listen)every tip coach tells u do im telling you i watched two shooting vids and have amazingly improved making at 8-10 shots a day and I can only get better
i heard this comment will get a heart from the youtuber?! anyway, you're the best coach, i completely redid my shot and its helped by at least 20%. thanks so much
I swear you are the most helpful coach ever. I always try doing a lot of two ball workouts and I can’t shake anyone. Started using these tips and I snapped someone today. Thank you so much
Maybe a helpful tip in addition to tip 3: it's mostly meant to stiffen up a defender or make him set his feet. A defender will set his feet or even stand up as you stand up, hopefully allowing you change speeds quickly and get by him. Also the low to high can mimic a pull up, so changing height can set up a hesitation or hang dribble to fake out a defender. Alot of upper level ball handlers stand straight up and dribble relaxed just to drop levels and explode quickly because your action will be better than their reaction most of the time. A hang dribble or hesitation dribble sets up a high to low hip jive while also setting up an athletic/explosive drive position for your legs, preparing you for a quick or fast acceleration.
Its actually coach* if im not mistaken :) i see people making fun of the comment, but if it were me, id like someone to point out my mistake 😌 hes definitly a great coach! Ageeed!
What tips do you have for trying to dunk with really small hands? I can jump up and grab the rim with two hands, but I lose some vert with the ball and when I throw an alley-oop, my hands are too small to palm it.
How much does the arch of your shot effect accuracy? My coaches couldn't understand why I shot with such high arch back in high school, said my shot would be much more accurate if I lowered the arch. Just a little more perspective, at one point my teammates called me Skittles " taste the rainbow "...
Watching this vid reminds me of me back when I didn’t have a jumpshot, I started to watch this channel a few years ago... which made me confident that I’m going to make it to freshmen basketball here but damn It actually hurts when you don’t make it to the team, for all the basketball dreamers here never stop dreaming and keep the good video’s coach really looking forward to learning from you and applying it to my game to make it to my team! 🔥💪🏻
When I saw the thumbnail, I immediately thought of Kemba Walker. I feel like Kemba is best at "rocking the feet". Go watch Kemba's highlight and look at how ridiculously low he gets when he is selling his move.
Just be like Klay Thompson, move off the dribble then take a shot once you receive the ball. Create space by moving yourself always or depend on the situation

I can't really do the hip thing. I dislocated my patella. I'm afraid of dislocating again with quick movements of the hip.
Just be like Klay Thompson, move off the dribble then take a shot once you receive the ball. Create space by moving yourself always or depend on the situation

don’t rock your feet until you’re a very coordinated ball handler. you don’t want to get to advanced to quickly
