This concludes all of the content from my trip to the Crowsnest Pass in the summer of 2020. Some locations have been visited in full in previous videos and there are also some new locations but this ties the main highlights together so I hope this will be of help if you ever visit the area. There are other nice stops in the area but this should help give you a start on your adventure. If you have a favorite location in the area that I may have missed let me know. Thanks everyone!
Really fun adventure Wade. So beautiful there and the history is definitely rich. Love that the locals are still tending that grand old tree. Thanks for sharing! 👍 ~ Kristine N Xander 🐾
Thanks 👍 It is a beautiful area but what a tragic past also. The tree they say is the most photographed in Canada. The wind toppled it over in the 90s and unfortunately some vandals cut a branch off in 2004 but it was reattached. Good to see they take care of it after all these years.
Excellent video and informative narrative and stories (I especially liked the tree that was being preserved to remember an abandoned town). I also really like how you link the locations with the driving sections that also show the greater context of some stunning scenery! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much! I wanted to give as much of a full look of the area as possible so I thought the driving sections helped with that. I am glad you enjoyed! 😀👍
Thanks for watching! Lots of beauty in this area and also history. Much of the history seems to be tragic. Tough times back in the early 1900's. Take care!
I loved the falls and the history spiel. Great tour Wade and such tragic history. So many deaths. Australia has also its own mining disasters. Some nice old buildings in Coleman. Enjoyed this episode very much. Thank you.
Great road trip. I remember seeing some of these spots on your previous videos. Pretty cool area with lots of history. Take care, Wade. Have a great day.
Some great highlights from your trip through the area... I remember some of these from past videos which are must sees for others watching this video...
Wow, the views in that area are spectacular and that waterfall was lovely. Such a rich history in that area. We had no idea how much mining history there is and some of those details are tragic. Great informational video 👍
Yes it is a beautiful area for sure. Rich history but also very tragic. Many of these tragedies happened just a few kilometers from each other. Thank you for watching! 😀
Yes black beauty is a beautiful specimen with its black fossil bones. I saw the skull in the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Thanks for watching as always and take care! 😀
Thanks for sharing fascinating history from your parts together with beautiful footage. I enjoyed this. Those roads looked very inviting for a road trip. 😉 I'm from a mining town in Norway myself. Kongsberg is the only town in Norway with silver mines. The official history of the town and mines started in 1624. But there has been some kind of activity since 15th century, maybe earlier. It is a fascinating and dramatic history.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you! Alberta is a great place for road trips. Lots of open roads to just drive for hours. That sounds like some old very interesting history you have there. Have a great weekend. 👍
Well, that was an informative video of a culmination of history in your area. From this and past videos it was evident that coal mining was a vital source of income. What a horrible job that had to be. In parts of Pennsylvania, where some of my family resides, they strip mine for coal instead of mines. Thanks for the history lesson.
Thank you! Coal mining was a big part of the economy in this area for sure up until the late 1970's when mining was shut down in this part of the rocky mountains due to new policies. Unfortunately now we have companies coming in to this area that want to start surface mining. There has been lots of talk over the past while because people are upset and trying to put a stop to it and bring back these policies before they destroy this land.
@@ExploringwithWade I agree. Strip mining in Pennsylvania scarred large areas of land unless the companies did their due diligence and put everything back the way it was prior. And, that includes planting trees.

I will be going back to the area in the near future as I have more places to check out on my list. Just didn't have the time on this trip. I really love it out there.
A fine presentation This country has so many places to explore, sadly we understand Alberta is leaving Canada ( something to do with Beer or Spirits ? ) Meanwhile in British Columbia we are still pushing fora name change from BC to ... well we have no name yet But soon ( any ideas ? ) Thanks Wade Stay Safe > Like 28
Thanks very much! Yes lots of places to visit and no I don't think we are going anywhere haha. I don't think you need or will have a name change. There are more important things then changing names haha. Do you hate it that much? Have a great one! 👍😀
