Many thanks for another deeply profound insight.. Brian is right.. we, as animals, also have no choice but to follow the laws of nature. Our eyes, in particular our pupils (the windows to the soul) predetermine our role as predator and not prey, and the reason why our pupils do not spin in an opposite direction to our head when we bend down to the ground, which is the case of herbivorous mammals ! Our environment used to predetermine our diet ! The global diversity of indigenous care-taking of the land is testament to this. The "White Animal Saviour Complex" (veganism) is simply another example of the effect of colonialism, industrialisation and capitalism on a world that was once in balance and harmony. I do not believe that the ancients worshipped animals as per the definition of "worship". I feel that the ancients respected and understood the intrinisic nature of diversity of the world around them, and the physical remnants (graphical representations (art) and what we call temples) are in essence the tools and devices used for the education, promotion and continuation of the species.
