I remember when I first moved to Hawaii (Oahu) back in the day, there were still a ton of theses Corolla's on the streets. It was the time when things were starting to change over to the more modern fuel injected cars. Closing HRP was the worst thing they could have done!! Still salty about that to this day!!

In the mid 90s had a 76 that did a Weber carb and header. That car kept up with most muscle cars of the time. Always knew that engine had potential. The looks from the muscle car driver as he couldn’t leave me was amazing
I had a 77 that I took the engine from my 71 and put it in. 2T-C .30 over, weber carb, Clifford header, Cannon Induction Systems cam. Ran like stink for the day. Man I miss that car..

What a Beautiful Corolla!! The little 3TC that could!! Sounds like a Straight 6!!! WILD!!! These are the year Corollas I Love!! I used to see my buddy’s back in the late nineties and early nineties driving them around but I don’t think I’ve seen one on the street in NC in 20-25 years! And it’s sad! Because they are such Awesome little cars!! Probably been crushed when metal was high and they made people clean old cars out of there backyards and Fields everyone sold them all for scrap! Pennies on the dollar! 😢 But seeing people like this is a Blessing To Car Culture!!! Thanks Larry for going around the world to support and show us the Automotive Heritage And Culture Of These Beautiful Places!!!

Now that’s some side pipe I can get behind. That motor sounds so choice on song and at idle, hard to do. I dig the 808 scene so much, can’t wait to go back to heal my soul in the ocean and see more in person. I also miss the Oahu and Maui scene, Kam 3 for life.
