Right!!! After lending my buddy a little hand in restoring it, and then seeing him turn around and about to sell it to someone else then he offered it to me-I jumped at the chance because I feel the same way as it’s the most beautiful sportster i ever seen too!! Thanks man
Thank you, and if you were referring to the roadking as best in show yeah definitely does aunt Lori’s late husband put a lot of work into that bike and a lot of money
Lol. Im glad it entertained you lol. I torque up easily, so i have plenty of entertainment value to amuse you with!!! Lol. Thanks for the watch and comment!!!
The speedo thing is a long story. I explained it in another video but back in 1970 it was it inherent problem with Harley, Davidsons of the speedometer gear drive detonating and cracking the transmission cases, so guys would remove the speedo gear drive, and either plug them or weld over the sppeedo gear drive hole, Mine has been welded over. I have to switch to a modern style gear drive at the front axle. now the Tech Drive in one of my earlier videos I replaced the cable that had sheared off in the past with a new one and just recently it sheared off again at the distributor cam-so I have to look in the why itkeeps doing that. And thanks greeny did good. .
You got it slick it's fun living on the edge older bikes and Choppers you have to live the experience you had to be totally involved the new bikes takeaway all that yeah they're fast and they stop well but they've lost the beauty of cruising and total involvement
Oh my god, I couldn’t have said it any better. I tell people all the time, with these older bikes, you have to think, just to ride them and stay alive, and pay attention!!! Had i not started collecting kickstart bikes, I would have gotten bored with the modern bike riding scene. I would almost fall asleep on the highway riding my Roadking!!! My Flathead would NEVER let me fall asleep!!!! Lol. She’s like riding a high speed old school john deere tractor!!! Lol
So hey, Slick, I will say the green may be one of the more favorable greens I`ve seen. I notice a lot of silver in it under the sun. Is that a factory color? Was it an original green bike? Did you restore the bike or paint it, or buy it that way? Mines an 84, but I used that 70 tank graphic. basically the only non stock aspect of my bike. Which I bought in very original, unmolested condition, not as clean as yours, but pretty nice.@@SlickHeadCustomCycles
No it’s not a factory green, at least as far as i know, I helped my buddy restore it a little bit, did some welding on the original frame. I bought it from him, it was originally white. Watch my older video “my timing is critical…” i talk all about how I acquired the bike!!!
Lol i can usually defend myself pretty good, but he got me with that one, on film too!!! I said immediately “oh that will make for a good, funny intro!” Lmao
My man!!!!! How bout that 79. I thought of you instantly when he rolled up. And I agree with your bike assessments!! And I told Megan I can guarantee you Bender Bender will put a timestamp on your pictures and you didn’t let me down. Thank you for that!!!
Thanks Dr. smoke it’s funny you asked that question because it was tough. I had a backpack on my back with tools for the Ironhead in case it broke down. All my GoPro equipment and a small foldable stool wire tied to the top of the backpacks!! on the way home, I had to stuff the trophy, which just fit by the skin of its teeth in the backpack now it was two times heavier but I made it home!!!!
That green XLCH is the most beautiful Sportsters, I've seen
Right!!! After lending my buddy a little hand in restoring it, and then seeing him turn around and about to sell it to someone else then he offered it to me-I jumped at the chance because I feel the same way as it’s the most beautiful sportster i ever seen too!! Thanks man

Always I've always said the roads are be a lot more friendly,,, and uncrowded if about half of the people would ride .....
