    Hi ALL! A note for beginners, to make this recipe easier; you can leave out the glycerin, panthenol, & xanthan gum & still get a beautiful emulsified butter. The final consistency will be slightly different.💜

    Hi , thank you for your video.
    I tried your recipe, I used btms25 as my emulsifier.
    I did not add the gum, but I did use glycerine, however once all was said and done the consistency was great but it left a white residue on my hair once applied
    What do You think caused this?
    Also I only used shea butter and sweet almond oil

    • @YayaDIYCreations
      @YayaDIYCreations  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@crystalmigwi3351 Hi! I cannot give a full answer as I do not have the exact formula and measurements that you used. However, I am almost certain it could be the emulsifier used and/or amount of the emulsifier used. It could be that it does not pair well with the oils chosen or that you need less of the emulsifier in the formula. It could also be that you need an additional emulsifier or co-emulsifier to help stabilize the formula. The white residue basically means that the oil and water did not combine well enough to make a stable emulsion. I recommend reformulating and retesting your formula. Maybe even try different ingredients and/or add additional ingredients. I hope this helps and sorry that I couldn’t help more. 💜💜💜
