X-bow is alot harder even with golem just because they have tesla aswell they can distract or even pull the golem in the other lane plus the deck is made to cycle back as quick as possible so that's another pro for the opponent. Also also making fisherman 3 elixer mightv been a bit to big of a buff altough his damage isn't that amazing or OP i feel it's the mechanic that's just so much value if you know how to play him correctly because sometimes misplacing him he'll pull unit's to ur tower after defending for example a hog rider for king activation.

Hey ash, I have an idea for a fisherman rework that would serve as a nerf/buff. I would love to hear your thoughts on this idea!
Rework:
Nerf his hp from 840 to 800 (his hp that he had on launch).
Nerf his damage from 170 to 150.
Add hook damage that does 150
The hp nerf wouldn't be too detrimental, he would die to fireball + log now and maybe some things in 1 less hit. It seems like a reasonable nerf.
The damage nerf would be big, he would no longer 1 shot goblins. It would make him worse on 1 on 1 situations, and would be easily countered by goblins.
However, the hook damage buff would allow the fisherman to kill cards like princess and archers in 1 hit when combined with the hook.
This rework would make fisherman worse when used as a single unit and just being plopped down as a 3 elixir tank, but it encourages use of the hook and pairing him with other units. This would make fisherman less versatile, but also makes him better at his niche.
This would also be an exciting way to rework him, not just being a flat out nerf to his stats. Especially after being a really bad card for so long, it would suck to immediately just kill the card.
What do you think? Do you like it? Do you think it might kill the card, break it, or is it a good balance?

Hmm idk... Fisherman is good already. But making it unable to kill goblins may kill the card 🤣. Tho the hook may do damage and revert that problem

Ash bro whenever we place any defensive building we get that range circle on the ground I think clashroyale need to add this feature for every troop or atleast for long range units like magic archer, princess, fisherman etc

I got +300 Trophies at 5600 range after replacing tornado with fisherman. He's lvl 10 which is ridiculous but its working.

Fisher was often played in CRL Asia.. its too good.. too much range and life.. doesnt die to Lightning (only 3 Elex card is Knight who can do that)
I like strong fisherman I think they could maybe nerf either his health his damage or his hook speed slightly not enough to kill him but maybe just enough to change a few interactions

@Matthew Aniston Well, I used it in my golem deck, and pushed to 6,270 trophies before dropping to 6,219... top 2k in the world, so I think its still viable

You're not allowed to name yourself Supercell under TOS (they can argue that you're tying to pretend to be them, and therefor a phishing risk potentially).

I don't really mind fisherman behing strong because he have interesting mechanic .
Even if i can't really play it , i would rather see Fisherman Strong than any building or RG strong .
dont know how you guys feel about this, but... what about the fisherman only being able to pull troops "lighter" than him. so like pekka would actually act as a building and the fishermann would pull himself towards the pekka. because that doesnt make much sense to me.

I feel like Fisherman shouldn't have so much HP. He's a card that should depend on other cards to survive, just like Ice Wizard. He has that ability with his hook, with troops that are pulled never targeting a protected Fisherman, and pros can easily keep him over 1/2 HP with it as is. Hope this video and many others can prove this.
I'd reduce his HP to Ice Wiz HP or something close to it, but increase his melee range to long to make him much, much easier to protect.

Recently started to play that hog quake deck you made a couple of days ago. Fisherman is quite different compared to other cards.

My Pekka deck hasnt been doing well on ladder this season. I feel like that slight nerf to Pekka made her ALOT worse.
If they took 9% health and made her range medium maybe they should make her attack faster or more damage

When Ash announced the new overlay design, he mentioned that the ice wiz was his favorite legendary card in terms of aesthetics. It looks good and the fire fits the theme even though yeah it’s the ice wiz in a fire design.
I don't see many fishermen on ladder. Seems it is only being used on tournaments. Why?
Maybe they are leveling up the card and that is why they don't use it on ladder but I am only 4.8k trophies, I don't think that is a good reason. A lvl 10 fishermen, if it was an OP card, would be absolutely viable.
Maybe it is just that around 5k trophies decks are way too random to care about what is meta or not haha. Do you see the card in ladder guys?
In my opinion it is not OP. The only reliable thing you can do with it is activate king tower, everything else is just "extra" if it works. Being a shield, pulling cards around, getting a couple hits... It sometimes works, not bad for a 3 elixir card but nothing crazy either.
Supercell can but wont fix there matchmaking. It cant be a coincidence that i face 5 consecutive games with my opponent having e wiz/e drag (me playing with sparky) in global tournament at 8-0, ending it at 9-5.
My fisherman opinion: yes the card is strong, but it's the concept that's broken (similar to Heal and Freeze). If I play a hog or Giant and you drop a pekka or prince to kill it, I shouldn't be able to add extra hp to my hog, freeze your defense, or pull your defense to my side.
The fisherman's pull range should be decreased drastically, then make him four elixir and increase his dps by quite a bit.
Also they added yet another hard counter to hog without buffing the card. They keep adding new hard counters to the hog, each one essentially nerfing the hog, yet they haven't buffed him to compensate (mega knight, nado, ram rider, fisherman are just a few examples).
Buff hog. Buff collector. Remove or rework fisherman, freeze, and heal.
Lol 2.6 is one of the strongest deck out there so... and fisherman should just have a little decrease on the pull thats all

CWA Mobile Gaming i think it will be the best feature in the game. There’s been so many times where I’ve wanted to just spectate and not play but can’t do that. Only time I can spectate is whatever is on TV Royal and my clan mates. But not everyone uses golem in my clan.

I'm glad someone isn't completely overreacting to the fisherman buff after only a couple weeks. I too agree that a new card is finally viable and it makes the game better.

**SUGGESTION**: It would be fun if you add video wear you pick an entire deck without looking nor knowing what it is and take it to the field. I believe it would be very entertaining to watch!
Fisherman doesn't need a Nerf at all (PEKKA CAN BE STOPPED NOW) He is in so many archetypes because he can substitute for so many cards such as tornado,knight,bandit, ice wiz, and even valk,dark prince, and Royal ghost even though he does not deal splash dmg.
Honestly I see that Fisherman needed the 1elixar cost down. He rivals the knight in which he provides an even better defensive option. Yeah he does need a nerf abit since yeah he is kinda powerful, but honestly I rather there be no nerfs or at least have a slight nerf because fisherman just came out of being the suckiest at 4 elixir since he is competing against valk, Dragon, Electro wiz dark prince and some other cards that outmatch him by a lot, now he actually is viable especially for 3 elixar. So yeah that’s my take. don’t nerf him too hard, cause he pretty much got his value now.
I’m stuck around 5200 trophies and I hardly ever see fisherman so I really don’t think he’s an issue. My friends don’t see it often either and they’re around Spooky Arena and just entering Legendary. Admittedly, I can’t speak for lower or high ladder.
Also, freeze never went anywhere. I think the rework made it more prevalent, but I hate fighting it.
No it's not, I have beaten this deck as well like your previous posted deck with 2-0 clean sweep.
While the opponent had maxed out guards and golem and my highest level card was of 12 wizard and rest every troop/spell was of 11/10 level.

Am I the only one that thinks the Royale giant needs a fucking nerf holy shit I’m a level 11 with all level 11 and 10 cards versing fucking level 13s at 4900 trophies it legit makes the game not fun it takes a fucking hour to kill the thing and pretty much gets a garunteed 1000 damage. Fucking bullshit and one of the many reasons why this game is going down the drain

I like fisherman and i dont even play him. A small nerf is good, because he is a bit too strong, but his ability is quite useful and gives tornado players a new option/decision, which causes more diversity in the meta.

At around 6k trophies and pekka bridge spam & xbow are still over 75% of my matches. I think tesla needs an hp nerf and bandit's dash needs an extra split second added to startup time. Also she shouldn't dash onto the goblin brawler when the cage breaks...

I actually disagree with supercell about the support troops being the big damage dealers in a golem deck.
I think the most obvious option.
I think the support troops should support the golem to the tower for it to do the damage.
If the golem player is relying only on the support troops to do the damage then it's pretty tough, we all know when a golem push is incoming you kill the support troops first.
Fisherman is crazy strong now days lol golem still hate but all in all great game played and this little dude is amazing 😉

I got a crazy deck for you ash, I’m not very far up in ladder cause I don’t play it much cause all my stuff is low level, but, it giant skeleton, royal recruits, magic archer, bomber, spear goblins, log, zap and barb barrel
@22:08. You don’t need to put the guards behind pekka to get to bandit first. It is a bandit afterall. By placing your guards in more a kiting position, bandit will get there first with dash, and you delay pekka for valuable seconds. Small things.

Ive been using the fisherman bait deck you shared a couple days ago and it is amazing! Its my favourite deck i have ever used and it works incredibly well. Please share more off meta-ish bait decks.
I agree with you about fisherman. I think it's in a similar place to where magic archer was before it was first nerfed - a really strong card that without the relatively high skill cap, would certainly need a nerf but because of it renders it pretty much balanced and really refreshing for the meta.

The solution for draws is pretty easy: lowest tower wins. It's how it goes down in CRL, and I think that's how it should always be. It prevents people from ever playing for a draw.
