May. It’s the best bike I’ve ever ridden, just got one custom version and it’s so epic. It’s responsive, it’s light, it’s fast. This bike is nuts! I love it so much! Keep shredding! 😆🤟🏻
Rad! Sandy is a great area close to many trails! I'll be in Corner Canyon tomorrow as well. Good luck finding a place! If you're not familiar with the area I'd be happy to give you some local knowledge ;)
Really glad your back making videos man, great stuff to watch. Noticed something on Jacobs Ladder DH, there is a massive rock(4:52 in this video) that really looks out of place almost blocking the trail. Looks like it was just dropped there at some point in time. Looks strange. Is it just me?
I have had my N3 for 2.5 years now and still love it and don't plan to replace it. I run Minion DHF 2.5 Fr and Rr and nothing grips better, but man they make me work! I am normally the last on the climbs, but those DHFs makes the hard work worth it. I only have 160mm travel up front with a Fox 36 RC2, and I never feel under forked. Try a Fox X2 for rear when you get a chance. The bike rides higher and does not want to settle in the middle like the Monarch does. It is also smoother and plusher!
I notice you do not really breath hard in your videos. You must be in Great Shape! You do seem to ride a lot.. so I don't think the X2 will make you a better rider, but the "Feel" will definitely be better. I saw your N3 vs. your N4 review, and noticed you mention that how the N3 wants to settle in the middle of it's travel, which is MORE true with the Monarch and the Vivid-Air over the X2 (on the N3).
That bike for a discounted price, it's totally a win! Great review as always bro. I will upgrade my Hightower frame to an LT frame eventually just to make it an all around bike.
I replaced the Monarch on my HT to DPX2 with a longer stroke which instantly convert to a150mm rear. I feel the difference between HT and Nomad is how they turn. Jason is right Nomad is a DH machine and sure knows how to party. HT just keeps rolling and rollng and it is just so fast..........New Nomad is on my list but I will keep the HT!!!
It seems like your riding a lot faster on this bike. Great riding and video. I took the same build for a demo on my local trails (similar to Jacob’s Ladder and the lower trail) and you nailed it exactly. Thanks for posting this
Thanks Tommy... My strava times are all within a few sections of each other... maybe I was going faster though ;) I try to ride slower when I'm filming so as to smooth out the footage and be able to talk while riding.
Get yourself an x2 or dhx2. Fits perfectly for the progression of the N3. Non boost wheels are super cheap these days. I do miss my N3 once a while now. Good stuff, Jason.
Thanks for the feedback.. I've heard the X2 or coil really wakes this bike up a lot. That would be rad as I tend to feel a little mid-stroke wallow on the Monarch plush shock... I've tried higher psi but that prevents full stroke and not even 90% of bottom out. Think the X2 air shock my be the ticket as I"m only 140 lbs... thx!
I rode The Wreckoning a few weeks ago... video should be uploaded some time between now and Christmas.... :) I would love to ride the new MB!!!! Honestly, it is at the top of my lest of bikes to ride.
I love your line choice - plow straight down the middle over the rougher stuff! I agree with you on the 27.5 and 29. I prefer the snappy handling of the smaller wheels.
Awesome reviews! Will you be doing one for the 2018 SC Hightower LT? Interested in how it compares to the 5010, particularly climbs as well as bombing. I'm looking at XE or better builds but can't demo locally.
I've already ridden the Hightower LT twice... It's an awesome bike! Video review will be uploaded in the next few weeks... turn on notifications if you haven't already and TH-cam will let you know when it's uploaded! It'll be a good one! I also have head-2-head video's comparing it to the regular Hightower and the new Nomad
Nice bike. Really like how you describe what your feeling, as you ride. I really like my bike, but if I could go back, I would have bought a bike with more travel. I have a Scott Genius that is pretty nice.
I don’t know if you still want one but I just got a custom version and it’s the best thing ever. It’s so responsive and fast and light. Holy crap it blows you away
It doesn't... I've heard this bike is better with a coil out back. The firebird probably climbs better. Descends high speed chunk better and overall feels more stable and planted. That said, this bike is really fun and fast in the tight stuff. Easily my biggest surprise of riding this bike is how it sort of feels like a 5010 some of the time... crazy I know...
The Nomad 3 is much different than the N4 and the only Yeti I've ridden that's anything like them is the SB5.5 I'm guessing the sb6 is more similar but I've yet to ride one... thanks dude!
I wasn't planning on it... I have them on my Element and love them but Having just dropped $5,000 on the Nomad I cant justify spending more money on my mountain bike hobby right now... $6,000 into the Element and 5 into the Nomad, I'd say I've about reached my limit! lol
haha yeah, sorry... it keeps getting pushed back in the lineup of edits. Bike reviews are king I guess and always get bumped up in the line of what to upload next. I've got 16 videos waiting to be edited right now. I'll try and get it up soon!
I loved the Hightower and ended up putting a little over 500 miles on that guy. I was able to have 2 mountain bikes this year and figured I would have 2 drastically different experience so... the Nomad and the 100mm Element work very well together!
I don't carry a pack.... in fact, I hate wearing a pack so bad I see people with big packs and think to myself, "what the heck do they have in that pack?" All I need is on my bike. Tube, CO2, Tire lever and multi-tool. If anything worse than that happens then I'm walking... and walking once every 4-5 years is 100% better than wearing a big old pack every single freakin ride ;) Now, if I'm going on really long rides into the woods with very little bike traffic I'll take my pack but it's rare.
sorry... just read what I wrote and reading it back, I hope I didn't offend you?! If you wear a pack that's cool. I just haven't seen a need unless I'm really going off the beaten path. Cheers!
Great Reaview dude! You're right for this type of bike. I have a Slayer 770msl 2017 and it forgives all my mistakes. I took a big crevice that I had not seen ,in downhill the other day. I was sure to pass over my bike...Well no! The suspension of 170 mm has eat it all raw! lol Fantastic! A much bike you have? lol Have you alwaysl your 5010 or you change for a Element? I thought I heard you say it in your review on the element
Totally! The new Slayer looks incredible! These bikes are just so fun and like you say, eat everything up! Yes, I sold the 5010 and I'm currently riding the Rocky Mountain Element and this Nomad. Excellent 2 bikes to have together! Thanks and check out some of my other videos for updates as to what I'm riding and what I'm up to!
Hey yumyum, your reviews are awesome! I watched some of your long travel 29er videos since I've been wanting to try one soon. I've had an N3 for 4 years now and I still love it. I had to watch your review of it to get your thoughts vs the newer crop of bikes out there. Even though I really dig this bike, it's getting a little beat up and components are failing or getting worn out....at some point, I will need to replace it. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the N3 vs some of the newer 29ers out there. I'm interested in the Ripmo, SB150, or maybe something from Evil. Would any of these bikes hold a candle to the kind of fun you can have on the Nomad? I should mention that I live on the road in an RV, so my wife and I are constantly traveling to new places to ride (currently in Moab). So I'd like a bike that is capable of being ridden on all day epics or can do some laps at a bike park. The N3 is good for that and is still super fun to ride, what would you suggest for this role? Thanks for the advice!
Jay, Hi! Glad you found the channel. You're right, the N3 is incredible as a do everything trail bike that can still handle some park days. That said, it can't touch the bikes you mentioned above. A lot has changed and honestly, the Ripmo pedals so efficient and climbs really well I don't think you'll be disappointed in the least going that direction. The sb150 is even better on the descent but for an all day epic I'd rather be on the Ripmo. Good luck and I'd consider the Rocky Mountain Instinct BC Edition as well...
@@mtbyumyum Thanks for the response! The RM Instinct BC looks very interesting as well. I might head over to Poison Spider this week and take one of them for a spin this week!
Mauro, it's totally personal preference... I'd try and throw a leg over both and go from there. I've really enjoyed the reach on this bike and prefer it to that of the newer Nomad that just came out. Of course I could ride either length but my preference is shorter! Good luck!
Mauro Menegolli - it also depends on your leg length too.. If you can ride a large with a 150mm dropper, then yeah... But if you have to compromise and go with a shorter dropper to fit it, then I would go with the medium and longer dropper... with the seat WAY down and out of the way... For ME: I'm 5'8"...and my MAX saddle height is 69cm or just a bit over 27" (center of bottom bracket to the top of the saddle)... And with all Santa Cruz bikes, it seems like I hit my perfect max saddle height on Mediums with 150mm droppers inserted collar to collar.
The Crashing Dad thank you, I've the same seat set-up on my Ibis mojo Hd, medium size and 50mm stem, it still feel short to me, I really hope to get the opportunity to try both the size before buy the Nomad. Anyway thanks for your comment!
I’m 5’9” and have a hard time finding a good size ride. It’s hard to be in the in-between group from most bike manufacturers. It’s so hard to size a bike these days with all the new technology and geometry. I ride a large HT (both wheel sets) and it’s awesome. My hardtail 27+ is medium. They feel totally different but on paper they are actually very similar as far as reach goes. I changed stems and bars, adjusted the seat on both and really found a sweet spot that makes both bikes feel lively and comfortable. Every year I try and get out and demo the newer models. When asked I usually go with the L but I’ve found lately that a medium just feels better and I can usually make adjustments so it doesn’t feel cramped. Best of luck finding your bike. I would suggest to demo a ton.
Would like a different camera angle so one could see how the bike acts, not that I don't like that trail, really would like to get over there and try em
I would love to get some 3rd person pov and camera on the side of the trail shots... just don't have time for it. Sorry dude! Trust me, I love those videos too and maybe I'll try and get some of those shots but I usually only have a few hours a week to go ride and enjoy riding more than filming!! I'll see what I can do though!
MTB yumyum I was actually thinking more along the lines of putting the camera on like the swingarm looking forward or similar. Van really appriciate the time constaints, your vids really hold up to the big budget ones like bkxc and alike. Keep up the great job.
That's a good question. The Nomad is more stable at high speeds and rowdy terrain. The Bronson actually feels really plush and quiets down a rowdy trail really well. Also, the Nomad to me any way, feels maybe a little more poppy... it's been awhile sense I last rode the Bronson but I remember it feeling really muted... Maybe I'll take a Bronson out again soon and give an update!
Thank you Mtb yum yum. That would be awesome if you do a video head to head with the bronson v2. Thanks man! Looking forward for that video. Safe ride!
I'm 5'11 and a bit and am getting an XL as one came up second hand, the reach numbers for the Nomad 3 XL are about the same as a large spark (460mm) which is also what the Nomad 4 Large is. So the threes we're definitely small sized. I'll post back about how the ride is.
Hi mate, looking to buy my first full suspension bike from my current orange p7. Do I get one of these nomad’s or Rocky Mountain altitude or evil calling? Cheers man, love your reviews, from Uk.
I have a Commencal Meta SX (2015) 27.5 as well. I think the question might be a bit obvious or someone will throw a shoe at my head, but would you switch to this Santa Cruz without hesitation?
Having ridden both the N3 and the newer N4 how noticeable was the difference between the two bikes? I've heard the N4 climbs dramatically better than the N3 version (and possibly better than my bronson v2) whilst still retaining the plow through it downhill mode. Was the difference in price the decider for you between the prior and currently revision?
In my experience, the N3 and N4 climb about the same... Maybe the N3 is ever so slightly better... it weighs less. The N4 descend head and shoulders better than the N3 with the stock shock on it. I've not ridden an N3 with an upgrades shock but I've heard the Float X2 or a coil totally change the feel of the N3.
I replaced my Monarch with DPX2 and I also got a coil Vivid. Will be testing it on the HT. I have also ridden a N3 with coil which is really plush.......might be yr solution Jason?
MTB yumyum did not do much with the Monarch as I am just a Fox fan. X2 is complicated to set up as there are many adjustments. Bought a shockwiz to help but find it rewarding as the Fox is just very compliant through the stroke - and I am a heavy rider. I would recommend the change absolutely.
Eash.... this Nomad couldn't be any more different from the Rocky Mountain Element. That's the real reason why I have these 2 bikes... they give totally different experiences when I take them out. The Nomad is plush and stable and a complete smasher on the way down... the Element is more lively and responsive. Both are so fun in their own right!
MTB yumyum so isn't the nomad more downhill oriented and the element more uphill? In every magazine test here in Austria the Santa Cruz bikes do show that. And the element is the cross country fully of rmb... Well I do have an older element 70 right now and do change it to the new rmb altitude, but to be honest it will be the powerplay the e-variant of it which only will be sold in Europe and can't wait to get it ;-)
thanks for the info! but as written, i do not get the normal "altitude", i will get the e-bike variant "altitude c70 powerplay". i do know that e-bikes are not really popular in the usa but here in europe extremely. there are statistics out there that 2/3 of all new buyed mtb's are already e-bikes. and RMB build the 1st one which looks and feels like a normal bike on the trail. the "altitude PP" has the same geometry as the one without the e-motor. and RMB is the only one mtb producer with it's own developed motor and battery which - in most magazine tests - earns only best scores. therefore i decided to get that one... we will see in early november when it will be delivered from canada. they only build small quantities so far. but then i have to wait again till spring 'cause our mountains are already snowy white... ;-)
If I could only have one bike at a time and wanted to ride trail... I'd go Bronson but I like everything about this new Nomad! If you mostly ride lift service, I'd go with the Nomad!
MTB yumyum awesome ! I picked up a Scott Genius last week just for my son and man omg downhill it's incredible! Obviously you can't ride it on any uphill parts but it's fun so mmmm maybe the Nomad I need to try it out ! Thanks dude 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😀😀😀😀
So I picked a nomad N3 up last week. I’m wondering if you use the rear shock soft/med/firm settings at all. ?? We climb to descend and I can tell u now that I need a smaller chainring (32 front with a 10/42 rear).
The Monarch plus on this Nomad 3 had an open, trail and firm setting on the switch. I put it on the middle setting or trail setting for climbing. I also leave it in the trail setting for really flowy buffed trails, pump track and other applications where I don't want to get into the deeper end of the travel.
Yum yum...hope your on that kona 29r this weekend...lol!! Just kidding and jealous i couldnt make it out to moab...but if u wonder to OBike...maybe check that kona for me hahaha!
haha Just got back from Outerbike... Ended up riding the Pivot Mach 5.5 and Mach 6 and the Rocky Mountain Altitude. You should definitely get down there in the spring if you can! Loads of bike companies there and you can get in 2-4 test rides per day!
Hey man. I’m not sure if you still have this bike (I still ride a N3, and it still more than holds its own). I had a few questions if you have a second about how you set up your sag on the n3
Hey bro I sorry to bug you alot, I'm looking for a new Santa Cruz and still have my V1 Bronson but want a backup compared to the new Bronson vs nomad what is your take on that.
Ah, so current bronson vs current Nomad. The new Nomad is a beast! The Bronson just can't hang onto it when the trail gets chunky chunk. That said, the Bronson is due for a refresh and would be surprised if it doesn't get the new Nomad (V10 shock) suspension in the spring of 2018. If that happens, it will be the best 27.5 trail bike on the market and I will own it. for sure! Fingers crossed. With all that said, the Nomad and current Bronson are not even in the same conversation. The Bronson was never a home run for me... I liked the 5010 better for climbing and buffed trails and the Hightower was better for chunk. The new Nomad will blow your mind. Crazy stable and plush bike! Hope that helps!
MTB yumyum thanks again, yeah I'm torn, between 5010, Bronson and now nomad after watching your review on it. I live in Missouri and ride Bentonville sometimes, but all I can do is research bc we don't have demo around the area. Thanks for all your help again anything you can think of that might help let me know. Great videos.
I'm the same height as you, and I agree the reach on the new bikes is a bit too much. It sucks being between sizes. I want an evil wreckoning, pivot firebird, but I think the medium is too big, and the small too small. If I were to critique your reviews, you are way too positive. Tell us what you don't like, and why you wouldn't buy it. I think its okay for you to say the nomad 3 is more versatile then the nomad 4. I don't think the nomad 4 is going to win any awards.
Thanks for the feedback Chris. I really want this channel and community to remain positive. I want it to be truthful but the reality is, most of the bikes I'm demoing are incredibly for anyone! It's just a matter of finding out what works best for you. That's different for everyone I think. The Evil Wreckoning is a crazy big bike that just plows. Still an excellent suspension platform and a lot of fun but BIG!!! Thanks bro!
May. It’s the best bike I’ve ever ridden, just got one custom version and it’s so epic. It’s responsive, it’s light, it’s fast. This bike is nuts! I love it so much! Keep shredding! 😆🤟🏻
I have the same bike and i love it when i got it i just bring it to the shop to rebuild suspension front and rear and minor tune up, new tires.❤
Lot's of love for you and your beautiful family from Team Viper! We love your channel Jason!
Richard, thank you! You are equally blessed my friend... What up Diamond Back & Copper Head!!! Keep the stoke high my dudes!!!
I’m up from Phoenix house shopping in sandy this weekend.
Can’t wait to be able to hit these trails.
Rad! Sandy is a great area close to many trails! I'll be in Corner Canyon tomorrow as well. Good luck finding a place! If you're not familiar with the area I'd be happy to give you some local knowledge ;)
Bro, I picked up mine back in June so I know how stoked you are haha! Great review man and congrats on the new bike!
Totally. This has been a super fun bike for sure!
Really glad your back making videos man, great stuff to watch. Noticed something on Jacobs Ladder DH, there is a massive rock(4:52 in this video) that really looks out of place almost blocking the trail. Looks like it was just dropped there at some point in time. Looks strange. Is it just me?
haha yeah it totally doesn't match the surrounding rocks and terrain. Weird!
We have a huge one at our local trail spot too. Very strange. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemlock_Stone
Iv been on my n3 for about 2 months now it's my first full suspension. I have been riding about a year almost now and love it so much!!
That's awesome.... glad you got into mtb! Great bike too!
MTB yumyum hey thanks for the reply!! I have done tons of different hobbies and have to say this is about my favorite of all
Dude, you were haulin' the mail! Congrats on the new bike.
Thanks buddy! Diggin the Nomad for sure!
I have had my N3 for 2.5 years now and still love it and don't plan to replace it. I run Minion DHF 2.5 Fr and Rr and nothing grips better, but man they make me work! Yeah, I ride a lot but I also try and slow my heart rate while filming...
HAHAHAHAAHH!!!
That bike for a discounted price, it's totally a win! Great review as always bro. I will upgrade my Hightower frame to an LT frame eventually just to make it an all around bike.
I cant wait to ride the new Hightower LT... A buddy of mine just got one to replace his Nomad and he's loving it!

Yeah man. It’s nice to have you back doing the videos. You’re an inspiration to me and my son. We ride together weekly.
Great job and thank you
Tommy D! We're riding together when I come back to CO
Yo!
Tommy, thank you for the kind words... happy to be back filming and uploading!

MTB yumyum you try some tokens in the monarch? My pike is an entirely different beast with one added token...
Great vid, glad you're back, man! I'd love to see you test out some of Evil's new bikes. Especially the Following MB.
I rode The Wreckoning a few weeks ago... video should be uploaded some time between now and Christmas.... :) I would love to ride the new MB!!!! Honestly, it is at the top of my lest of bikes to ride.
Great review. Thinking about getting one! Thanks for the information.
They're a total bargain right now if you can find one.... you wont be disappointed!
I love your line choice - plow straight down the middle over the rougher stuff! I agree with you on the 27.5 and 29. I prefer the snappy handling of the smaller wheels.
haha yeah! That's what I love about the 2 bikes I have right now... totally different experiences when I go out to ride. It's a blast!
My next bike for sure, can't wait.
and there's some good deals out there right now!
you should go to moab and ride trails there
I was down there 2 weeks ago! It's incredible down there! Planning another trip in a month or so!
Awsome video love the new bike..
Totally, thanks bro! Great price too!
Great Review, like usual.
Yo! Thanks
Awesome . I have a 120 mm trail and 160 mm I use for trail also just because I can go over bad lines and still feel good
getting 2 totally different experience out of your bikes is a rad thing for sure!
Great videos! I have a nomad also. Your review is on point.
Rad, thanks! This is just a great bike to compare with a lot of todays trails bikes.
great vid, love the bike.
Thanks bro! Totally dig this bike for sure!
Awesome reviews! Will you be doing one for the 2018 SC Hightower LT? Interested in how it compares to the 5010, particularly climbs as well as bombing. I'm looking at XE or better builds but can't demo locally.

Hello yumyum. Can you do a test ride and review for the 2018 Rocky Mountain Instinct?
Plan on it bro!
Awesome, thank you. Get your hands on the Carbon 70 if you can. I'm seriously considering adding it to my quiver.
Nice one jay..how is it compare to firebird?
It doesn't... I've heard this bike is better with a coil out back. The firebird probably climbs better. Descends high speed chunk better and overall feels more stable and planted. That said, this bike is really fun and fast in the tight stuff. Easily my biggest surprise of riding this bike is how it sort of feels like a 5010 some of the time... crazy I know...
Looking fun! Congrats on the bike. Way to go to save some $$. How does the Nomad (v3/v4) compare to the Yetis you've ridden? Cheers
The Nomad 3 is much different than the N4 and the only Yeti I've ridden that's anything like them is the SB5.5 I'm guessing the sb6 is more similar but I've yet to ride one... thanks dude!
Great review Jay! Are you planning to install LB carbon rims on your Nomad?
I wasn't planning on it... I have them on my Element and love them but Having just dropped $5,000 on the Nomad I cant justify spending more money on my mountain bike hobby right now... $6,000 into the Element and 5 into the Nomad, I'd say I've about reached my limit! lol
MTB yumyum Jesus, and here I thought u were just getting started! 😎 👍
Still waiting on that levitate footage...
haha yeah, sorry... it keeps getting pushed back in the lineup of edits. Bike reviews are king I guess and always get bumped up in the line of what to upload next. I've got 16 videos waiting to be edited right now. I'll try and get it up soon!
Interesting review. What is the max cassette speed you can fit on the bike ? 11 or 12speed ?
How does the Nomad 4 compare with this? I had a gen 2 Nomad and went for a Hightower as my current ride, partly based on your excellent review,.
Great question, I have a head-2-head video coming out in the next few weeks N3vsN4
Interested to hear why you sold the Hightower after such a short time? Thanks for the vids, love them👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I loved the Hightower and ended up putting a little over 500 miles on that guy. I was able to have 2 mountain bikes this year and figured I would have 2 drastically different experience so... the Nomad and the 100mm Element work very well together!
Make a video about what you carry in your pack. Those videos are always pretty cool to me.
I don't carry a pack.... in fact, I hate wearing a pack so bad I see people with big packs and think to myself, "what the heck do they have in that pack?" All I need is on my bike. MTB yumyum oh ok. Lol. Well you should show us.
sorry... just read what I wrote and reading it back, I hope I didn't offend you?! If you wear a pack that's cool. I just haven't seen a need unless I'm really going off the beaten path. Cheers!
MTB yumyum I was not. Thanks.
Nice vid! There must be tons of snakes around?
Great Reaview dude! You're right for this type of bike. I have a Slayer 770msl 2017 and it forgives all my mistakes. I took a big crevice that I had not seen ,in downhill the other day. I was sure to pass over my bike...Well no! The suspension of 170 mm has eat it all raw! lol

Yeeeew!!!
Really like your channel! Sweet ride👍
Thanks bro! Totally rad bike for sure!
awesome bike! 👌🔝
Totally! thx bro
I ride the same bike but there Chris king hubs on. I blew the novatech hubs it came with
haha crazy! Mine came with DT 350's... silky smooth so far!
Thanks for the review! I'm 5 and 8" and I was looking for a Large frame due to the short reach.. Is it wrong in your opinion? Cheers from Italy
I am about the same size. I like a medium so I can move the seat back or get a little longer stem if I need. I like smaller bikes though.
Hi good day, how do you compare it to the bronson v2? Thanks. Great video!
Safe ride!
great review mate! im 6 feet tall. would you recommend to go for L or XL?
Can you test the Canyon Spectral CF 9.0 SL, no one on you tube has tested this bike. I guess because its so hard to get.
yeah, no access to this bike in my town. I understand it will be at outerbike in the spring though!
Do you plan on riding the new Trek Remedy or Slash 9.8 with Thru Shaft?
Rad, thanks for sharing... I might make some changes over the winter before next season!
Do you use Strava? Would be interesting to see data between N3, N4 and HIGHTOWER
Yes, I almost always have a link to my strava account in the description section of the videos.
MTB yumyum cool. Will check it out. I have the same N3 but have Fox 36 forks and Fox X2 rear shock. Great ride.
Interesting. Can you describe the X2 vs Monarch plus shock? I've been thinking of swapping it out for the X2... thx!
Great, thank you! I've been thinking of putting an X2 on there. thx!
So where in your opinion is the difference to the rmb element of your last video?
Eash.... this Nomad couldn't be any more different from the Rocky Mountain Element.
Well I do have an older element 70 right now and do change it to the new rmb altitude, but to be honest it will be the powerplay the e-variant of it which only will be sold in Europe and can't wait to get it ;-)
Awesome! I just demo'd the new Rocky Mountain Altitude C70 last week... it climbs really well for a 150mm bike.
thanks for the info!
but as written, i do not get the normal "altitude", i will get the e-bike variant "altitude c70 powerplay".
i do know that e-bikes are not really popular in the usa but here in europe extremely. there are statistics out there that 2/3 of all new buyed mtb's are already e-bikes. and RMB build the 1st one which looks and feels like a normal bike on the trail. the "altitude PP" has the same geometry as the one without the e-motor. and RMB is the only one mtb producer with it's own developed motor and battery which - in most magazine tests - earns only best scores. therefore i decided to get that one...
we will see in early november when it will be delivered from canada. they only build small quantities so far.
but then i have to wait again till spring 'cause our mountains are already snowy white... ;-)
Good review!
Thx bro!
Hey J , if you had to choose one , would it be the Bronson or the Nomad dude ?
Yeah, I would use the climb switch from time to time. Climb to descend... sounds like my kind of ride ;)
I got the discount version with the heavier carbon.
Nice, that's the same build I got on my previous Hightower and 5010.... the S build as I recall.... great value! This bike has been a blast!
MTB yumyum yup I want to upgrade the rear shock to the float. And maybe save some weight by changing my drive train. Any suggestions?
Do you flip the shock into climb mode on the nomad/Hightower or just roll with it open?
I had a few questions if you have a second about how you set up your sag on the n3
sorry sold the bike almost a year ago... sorry dude
MTB yumyum I STILL love my N3. 👍😀👍
So it’s doable as a trail bike. How heavy and does it climb terrible.
I’m looking at a used N3 right now
I thought it was an excellent trail bike if you're riding is more focused on descending!
MTB yumyum
My climbing is slow and I already have a 150/130 trail bike. I’m thinking go big
Hey bro I sorry to bug you alot, I'm looking for a new Santa Cruz and still have my V1 Bronson but want a backup compared to the new Bronson vs nomad what is your take on that.
Not sure I understand your question... Are you asking what I like better between the V2 (currant) Bronson and the 3rd generation Nomad?
MTB yumyum yes sir 2018 Bronson or nomad
Hey bro should I buy the 2017 cc for 2250$ ?
Dude, its like you have a ton of bikes at your home
hahaha well, I have 3 Nomad, Element and a Cannondale Super Six EVO road bike! Could use a mid travel 29er though... ;)
Thanks bro!
Do like a review of cheap bikes mix it up a bit
What price range did you have in mind? Most of the bike I always demo are in the $4-$7k range I guess...
Yeah would love to see cheaper equivalent of nomad. Like Capra or Strive?
I would love the price range around 3000, because it is the range you would consider for your first bike and also if you want a second more fun bike.
Totally... I'll try and get my hands on some new $3,000 price range bikes. thanks for the feedback dudes!
Sounds good I don't know if 3k is a lot in America but bikes in Australia are about 800 dollars I'm happy with whatever
Do you plan on riding the new Trek Remedy or Slash 9.8 with Thru Shaft?
Do you plan on riding the new Trek Remedy or Slash 9.8 with Thru Shaft?
I've been wanting to get on the new Slash.... haven't had the opportunity yet. New Remedy is rad!
