Snowball effect thats all...there is a myriad of things with reputations that arent at all what they're about...drugs are a big one. People like to feel like they belong to a team or social group..its natural to want to need/want to fit in. As always going against the grain is much harder but more truth may be found.
Everytime Bert talks about Patrice I get emotional, my I miss that dude.
After listening to Dane getting grilled by Maron...it’s refreshing to have two honest, un-bitter comedians going back and forth
Bert is super on point this episode with the topics he's bringing up and the things he remembers. I been loving these Dane Cook podcast appearances and expected this to be more of the same, but it exceeded my expectations and I grew more respect for both Bert and Dane in this!
Bert,, so cool, two guys sharing their truth's. To be able to make this come across as two regular guys, totally a great watch!!
Thanks man
Dane, I used to quote your standup to the guys in the band I roadied for back in 2005. I had no idea about all the shit that's happened to you since then. This was a great podcast, and gave me a renewed appreciation for you. Keep on keepin on.
Me trying to imagine Patrice acting in the green mile gave me chills.
When Dane first made a name for himself doing standup in the early 2000s, his shows were legendary and off-the-charts funny. It’s undeniable.
Legit, I dont care what anyone says, That comedy central set is one of my favorite sets of all time
Thanks for bertcast! I enjoy watching every episode, but especially this episode with Dane Cook, because you have a talented way of bringing us into the conversation, as a fly on the wall, with talent, like Dane Cook.
I just watched Mr. Brooks again last night. Still awesome.
Wait is dane cook in Mr. Brooks
@@lamolambda8349 yep
@@joshlamb8163 oh snap why didnt his acting career pick up after that
@@lamolambda8349 I'll tell ya but it's in the podcast, do you want the spoiler?
@@joshlamb8163 yeah tell me
My best friend's girl was me and my brother's favourite movie. We went to see it in the cinema twice and used to watch it on DVD every couple months. He passed a few years ago and I still watch that movie a couple times a year and remember him.
Thanks for that Dane.
Love that Dane is back never hated him wish I could see him live though

@@janus5423 for some reason I thought it was sold out near me. The prices aren't bad either thanks!
Yeah I’m glad he’s back too, very humble guy
Absolutely awesome. He really helps to break down not only comedy but life lessons. Pretty cool to know that he is open and lets everyone know that he is a real person and had to grind and grind. Good for him that he is doing ok and able to bare himself to the people who are his fans and even his critics. Great video.
44:00 "I love that story! Dane, Tell us another about the good old days" 😂 like bedtime stories with Dane. Man I fuckin missed that dude. And the nostalgia of hearing them talk about the days when he blew up, I remember being like 15 sitting on my computer at home, downloading every possible clip I could find on Kazaa and laughing my fucking face off!!!
Burt. I have to admit...I've never seen your shows. I found you on podcasts and internet shows like Hot Ones. I fucking loved The Cabin! This was one of the best podcasts I've seen. You are the man! Keep it up...that's what she said.
There were times in this podcast where I didn't know where Dane ended and Bert started. I would love another podcast with Dane, Bert, and Ila 😂
I know they sound almost EXACTLY the same
"My Best Friend's Girl
" is one of my all time favorite movies! 👌 Love Dan. 💖
So good. Please tell me he's gonna be on YMH as well.
They should definitely try it out.
He's definitely got his jeans high and tight
Would like to see that. We also need some resolution on wehther or not Theo Von fucked Christina back in their MTV days, speaking of YMH. Maybe Dane will have some info or maybe he banged her too.
Dane's story at 33:00 is just one example of how far ahead he was of everyone. He was so dialed in
Did Dane Cook become Nick Swardson when I wasn't looking?
Nicely done ✅
No he isn’t as funny as Nick
Its basically the same guy
I couldn't put my finger on it, until you nailed it!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Omg, I SEE IT and will Ferrell, wtf
Never thought I'd say this, but this might be your best podcast you've done! Genuinely enjoyed this episode from start to finish!
Love seeing Dane on all these different podcasts! I've missed his silly ol face!
The first shout out to myspace since Employee Of The Month. So much laughs watching to friends catch up. Cheers
Dane Cook a college comic that talked about partying all the time, but never actually drank or did drugs is crazy
Ummm. He was definitely on coke during his early performances on just for laughs and stuff. That’s not how eyes look
@@aelechko
It’s a known fact he has never touched drugs or alcohol so you obviously don’t know as much as you think you do, In the stand up industry it’s a running joke about how clean and straight edge he is.
I gotta say, I'm not a fan of Dane Cook's comedy, but this is probably one of the greatest podcasts I've ever listened to/watched. Everything was so interesting, what a life that guy has had so far and Bert, you are excellent with bouncing stories and taking direction on this one. Content gold right here.
Gosh people are going to be sooooo pissed when dane reblows up.
It will be. BEAUTIFUL.
@@HonorThyTarkus Print the Bible on them, Bacon and Eggs, and "Thats a car, you;re going to hear a lot of them" Fuckin kill me, I still tell his beads joke stealing the beads. Dudes a legend.
@@kyin45 the fucking beads lmao the B&E 😂😂😂
Oh look he’s still nowhere
Dane cook steals other peoples material and uses it he is worthless as comic 🥕 top is a better comedian
Well done Bert. Really great interview. It was amazing to hear you guys talk about Patrice. I feel like I could listen to stories about that guy for days. Truly one of the best to ever do it.
Dane is so smart and ahead of his time holy shit
Love Dane so much! Always have loved Dane! Always will love Dane! I have heard his hardship story twice now and cried both times.
lol Please do not ask a question then CUT THEM OFF after you've asked it Bert! lol!
Yeh he does that alot...
More Dane answers please😄
I love what he said about feeling safe and protected and going back to being "that kid from Arlington on food stamps." I completely get that feeling and the feeling of being safe and protected and ok for the long-term. It's a nice feeling. Instead of feeling like the rug was going to be pulled out from under you. That part was really powerful. I appreciated that. "I got a deal in the room that day. Signed, sealed, delivered. I'm doing it on my own laurels." DAMN. We all wish we could have that kind of comeuppance.
I remember Dane Cook's impression of a Zenomorph absolutely slaying me
Glad to see Dane doing his thing again... I’m digging this new introspective side
Always will support Dane Cook. He's always been original.
HA....funniest comment in a long time
Life is crazy. Time moves faster and faster. I could never live that life. Nothing but love.
Keep it up Bert 💪 all love from St Louis my man
I got the clap during STL Mardi Gras in SOULARD once
I have some family in the lou named McClure
I normally don't like Bert's podcast but he killed it in this one. He finally let someone else talk and not interrupt. He actually had some great questions.
Dane Cook looks like he could be Nick Swardsons older guido brother LOL
I can't unsee this lol
I have always enjoyed dane cooks comedy but man the respect I've gained for that dude, seems super humble. Great podcast
Dig the camera set up.
I dropped off Dane Cook YEARS ago, but recently I have been watching alot of comedian podcasts and Dane Cook has been coming up and my respect has too.
Dane should make a new movie, employee of the month and my best friends girl are classics to me.
Bert, you had such a great reaction to Dane when he said he wanted to do comedy on the moon!! Shock, awe, respect, and more! @1:30:43
