Friends just flew emirates Auckland - Gatwick and Paris to Auckland. The Ak Dubai return they said was excellent on a 380, but the Dubai to Gatwick was a different plane and very cramped, and Paris to Dubai was emirates but very cramped. So I think I’d prefer a straight through flight on a big plane like Qantas. nice to see your journey as always.

Thanks so much for doing this video. I just booked a return flight MEL-SIN on Emirates yesterday, for October. The screen on the IFE looks huge compared to the likes of QANTAS, Jetstar and Malaysia Airlines. We'll actually be flying this flight home from Singapore, so it's good to see what it's like now.

good choice, probably the most expensive drink in Emirates economy.
That’s the nice thing about 5th freedom flights. There’s more competition amongst the airlines operating direct flights between two countries which brings down the airfares and improves their service.

Speaking of Singapore Airlines, today is my 1st time and it's my dream, I am flying Singapore Airlines, an Airbus A350-900 from Barcelona, Spain to Milan, Italy. My final destination is Milan, Italy and I am traveling for 1 month starting in Sydney, Australia for vacation and it's nice and awesome.

@JaydenWong I strongly recommend applying for HSBC every mile card, it’s a NO BRAINER. U get 24k RC points welcome bonus which converts to 20 miles (with airlines including CX, EK and QR) per RC mile, which equates to 480K Skywards miles, which is enough for a round trip flight on EK F from Haneda to Houston, plus a bit left over.

With such a meager load factor I would be surprised if Emirates continues the flight much longer.
the Qantas and Singapore Airlines flights are always full. Perhaps Emirates/QF pax prefer overnight flights more (many of my friends actually do prefer that too). I personally prefer day flights haha.

I flew the 777 out of Sydney last month to Dubai… I found it comfortable but assume most were on the 9.10pm A380 an hour later.
Great screen, catering and my favourite thing of all: CONSISTENCY!
consistency I agree. Every time you fly Emirates, you have EK uniformed staff, full meals on most flights, great bar selection, great IFE and big planes.
Really nice video Jayden. If you come back to Canada, just remember that there is a lot more to see east of Montreal. Come visit me in Halifax. Really beautiful part of the world.

Great review as always, Jayden! I wonder whether the flight is always this empty. I hope they pool revenues with QF, otherwise it would seem to be a big money pit. Row to yourself on a long-haul flight is always a treat. I got one on my last transatlantic flight on BA from LHR to BWI last year.

The main on the first meal looked bland. The aubergine/courgette sandwich for the second meal looked much better.

Hi Jayden, I'm just back from Tokyo where I got caught up in the Chiba Earthquake scare at Tokyo Disneyland. It shut the park down for 10 minutes. I was on a ride when the lights came on & the announcement to brace for a strong Earthquake. So scary. I was wondering what is your choice of HOTELS for Singapore now that prices have skyrocketed?. Did you experience noise from the temple at the Garden Inn?. (Have you stayed at Hilton Orchard, if so, do you have a review at all please?). Conrad & we saw that review video. BTW the flight to Tokyo with QANTAS was really good. Thank you for another great video above.
I remember that this was my last flight Pre-Covid lockdown and wished to try out their economy class from Singapore to Melbourne, but Emirates upgraded me to biz class at the last minute!

Wish I could fly in a not so full B777-300ER of Emirates like this. Seats are ot as wide as the A380, I believe.

I like how you do a mix of flying in different classes, giving your viewers a more comprehensive view of what it's like to fly with the different airlines, as not everyone can afford to fly business all the time.

Jayden, noticed that you mentioned Turkish Airlines is running Fifth Freedom flights between MEL-SIN. This is not true - it will be a technical stop for a crew change & refuel.
All passengers aboard will either originate from IST or MEL. Otherwise, great review!

The cabin crew takes the blankets for safety purposes, as in the case of emergencies, it can cause trouble evacuate the passengers.
The Emirates 777's 3-4-3 is cramped like the config on Philippine Airlines. But Emirates large IFE screen's in Economy are the largest in the industry.

Hello Hubert! If you don’t travel too often (1) and have a World Mastercard, you can try LoungeKey, no joining fee. About $32USD per visit. I use this whenever I have no airline lounge visit
(2) Priority Pass (there’s a joining fee & entry fee depends on the joining fee you choose
(3) AMEX platinum card
(4) if you live in Australia, you can consider also Qantas or Virgin club memberships

Qantas club membership probably the best then. More locations and you can use it when you fly with Jetstar

Qantas charge only if you want a guaranteed empty seats. On an empty flight, it’s a scam!

A350-900 is a lot quieter. If you sit far forward enough on the 777, it might be quieter (since it’s further away from the engine)

well I was wearing slippers so I thought it was better to take it off😂 I did have socks (with my shoes) but I took it off when I was switched to slippers and I did wear it again to keep my feet warm
Plus I placed blankets over and underneath myself, at least for the demonstration 🤣🥵

I flew with Emirates 777-300ER from Melb to Singapore in early April this year. Fairly speaking, the aircraft was very outdates and the entrainment system was very slow with limited choices. 3-4-3 configuration was very packed. The condition of the lavetory was concerning. Overall very unpleasing experience.

@JaydenWong Fly upper deck economy on EK, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! Also can u not be vegan for the flights only so u can show an accurate view of the food? I understand you being vegan on land, your choice but u chose to review flights so at least give the fans who DON'T eat vegan an accurate look at what they will get on the flight.
Chances are by the time you fly on the same flight, they would have changed the menu.
It’s like asking a Jewish person to not eat Kosher only a plane…
@@JaydenWong Big difference between Kosher and veganism is that Kosher is a religious requirement. Also most Jews outside of Israel seldom eat Kosher. Veganism is a choice if not for religious reasons (such as Radhaswami or Jainism) or health reasons. I remember u said u went vegan for personal reasons. But also put in the factor that the quality of a vegan meal will not be the same as a regular meal.
I somewhat understand economy flights the meat quality may not be good, Iam also guilty of this I pre order an Indian veg meal on my economy flights but in Premium Economy, Business and First the food quality is much better so at least for those flights eat from the regular menu. This is the exact reason I quit watching Nonstop Dan. Your videos are amazing and its fantastic to see ppl from my birthplace give an honest unbiased review of airlines (Sam Chui doesnt count bcoz his airline reviews at least are very much biased)
