That looks awesome Matt. I have all those cars plus a few more from the heritage fleet. Some are brass. I've got about 60 cars altogether. One day when I get back home I'll connect the lot & do a run by. I'll be using 3 E8/9 B units to assist 4014. I just gotta find a layout big enough to take the whole train.
Train looks great, I collected the rapido passenger cars and have the jim Adam's but couldn't get the joe jordan from scale trains. Was on the reserve list but didn't come thru.
Absolutely a worthwhile time waiting. Well done. I do agree that this hobby can be a very expressive but yet very satisfying. I saw an older video you did about replacing decoders into an older BLI santa Fe. I would like to know, with your knowledge of dcc and decoders if you can help me out? I have a very much loved BLI GS-4 Southern Pacific Paragon 2 but the decoder seems to be doing very unusual things. The sound works, then it does not, it seems to loose its addressing and then while programming it seems to come up with different manufacture codes. Is there any way possible to replace the sound card and DCC decoder with an upgraded Paragon 4 and keep the smoke function. Your help and input would be greatly appreciated Love your channel Anthony Smithson.
The short answer is yes, however paragon 4 boards are not yet available and also you would have to have one that has the proper whistle for that engine which BLI has never had the sound file for. The one that is on paragon 2 is incorrect.
@@RodimusPrime Great, Look forward to that. I had no idea that the sounds on the BLI were not as per photo type. If I'm going to make these changes, then i would like to do it once and not regret the choice i make. Great to have imputes from anybody with more knowledge than me. Always learning. Cheers Thanks again for your reply Anthony Smithson
How much easier does the train run with the oil? I'm putting together the 26 car 1981 Chessie Safety Express and my BLI Greenbrier has a little hard time pulling it (9 cars are Walthers and the rest are Bachmann Spectrum heavyweights)
i noticed that you are missing the walthers proto dome diner "City Of Portland" from your consist. any particular reason why you have decided to leave it out and not purchase it?
Question. I’m trying to build an excursion fleet of my own. Are all of these cars from the walthers proto line at some point? Or are some custom numbered from other proto cars?
@@RodimusPrime I figured you were in it. I saw the whole thing about the Tuscan Red Sharks you got. It is a real shame about what happened man. I really hope BLI fixed their decoders right this time with Paragon 4. They have to be bullet proof.
That is a very impressive UP heritage excursion train.
Nice set! 😎👍
Awesome content my dude

Thank you.
So do you have a suggestion as to a good sound card and dcc replacement?

Nice!
Nice, Also your forgetting about the st louis car
I just got the decals for the experience car in ebay to make it myself
Are you gonna put a diesel behind the BB so it looks more accurate?
Do you also have a HO UP 844. A HO 4014 and 844 doubleheader would look cool
Dont have an 844 at the moment
I ordered mine from scale Trains 3 months ago and I won't get them till March 22 of this year.
I would pay the $ to buy a full and complete special edition set

Not easier but no more squeaking

If walthers didnt make it i dont have it
I am missing this one, I think i confused it with portland rose when i was ordering, oh well now ill have to spend more money.....
One of the cars you are missing is the car with the full back glass?

All but the kato are recent runs of walthers proto
@@RodimusPrime thank you for the info and confirmation🙏🏻
Will they run on a 26” radius?
