Number 15 navy carrier landing made me dissapointed because 1. when tailhook is on ground full throttle is used. 2. when slowing down, turn off the engine/Lower throttle to 0%. but the else is good

For the #14. I landed first and fly back throttle 0%. And the second, I landed and fly back and it's gonna stall. At the third, reverse thrust and it worked.

How to land VTOL in PTFS: Turn on legacy handling in game options on the start menu. 1: Find a apron (any) 2: make sure that you are above the apron, and then reduce the thrust to 0%, and wait for you to land. That's all! Please like my comment
That... is not how they do it irl. But when I catch on the wire and it resets I just turn off my engine then turn it back on. You full throttle if you didn't catch the wire or it snaps you can get back in the air
well i have only got 2 landings ever in ptfs my first one being i hit the runway nose gear first next one i jumped out of the plane and it landed inside one of the seats and my plane stopped just in time by it self and was close to falling of runaway

When u carrier land u put throttle at max cus 1. They do that irl to avoid crashes 2. Avod crashes in game
I always land first person in PTFS its just easier for me.
1st person landing shows how well u can use the instruments instead of seeing every movement, buttering in 1st person is when u know I made it
