Fading Steps:
Trim top to desired length
- Set in guideline with trimmer
- lever open set in next guideline
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 2 & 3 guard blend up
- Blend out top guideline w/ 1.5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard open to 3 qtr
- Blend first guideline w zero, lever closed, half way, 3/4, all open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom hair
- Use electric shaver
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

Hey m8, i got an issue.
The whole cut is nice, but I think the hard part is too wide.
Also the beard lineup opens double chin at the bottom line. I usually put one finger on the Adam’s apple and there’s my borderline. Because when the client puts his head down, the neck pleat will show up, opening that infamous double chin.
Anyway, thx for the tutorial. Very clean and neat cut.

Yea if your clipper not really zero gapped you need to use trimmer to get rid of the line

For a long time I used the clipper lever closed and recently been using trimmers. Sometimes the clipper lever closed can be a little easier to blend out but they both work I recommend trying both to see what feel better for you.
