My comment won’t be as detailed and exciting as these wonderful fans that know and love both fandoms but as a longtime friend of yours who loves the way you slowed your editing down to show the enchantment of these two pairings, it was magical. I mean magic is the word. You incorporated an extraordinary element of sci-fi and magic together in this, and obviously I know it’s Star Wars and Buffy so it’s not surprising, but the music and the voiceovers and the romance and angst and tragedy and triumph, I has flickers of Firefly and Harry Potter and even LOTR vibes all coming at me during this video, which is such a beautiful testament to the quality of your editing. I love how James plays that scene to show the attraction there already. lol I find their reactions to seeing them shirtless so freaking adorable. It just proves that Rey was attracted to Ben. My very first parallel that I ever made between reylo and spuffy was the doors closing on the guys, and I wanted to use that voice over on the reylo part instead of spuffy just to drive home how perfectly it fits. I cried a bit while editing that part. especially the way Rey's parents disappear in the mirror and she is left with just her own reflection followed by Buffy at the door where she thought her mom had come back to life, only to realize she's gone. Man, it hits home. :'( I want the "Just you" moment in everything...I will never get over Adam's freaking puppy eyes and soft voice in that moment lol Eep I'm so happy the sequence of the ladies dying and coming back worked out and that you were emotional over it! That was definitely one of the early parallels (and one of the first things you and I bonded over aaww).
