To understand abrogation, consider this example. You start a new job. Your boss says, "you cannot work without supervision”. As time progresses, you become more experienced and confident at your job. Your boss becomes more comfortable. So, your boss tells you “It’s okay, you can now go do your job alone.” This is abrogation. If you tell your five-year old child, "you cannot go out alone", does that mean the rule can never ever be changed? When the child grows up, you tell him "It’s okay, you can now go out alone.” This is abrogation. When the Islamic community was new, they needed time to adjust to the new belief system, a new way of life. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ prohibited his followers from visiting graves initially because there was a significant risk that they would commit shirk (idolatrous or polytheistic acts), as was the culture of the time, when visiting graves. This is so because the former polytheists (new Muslims) were still new to the idea of monotheism. Later on, he relaxed this prohibition because the new Muslims knew how to act when visiting graves. There The risk was gone. As such, the prohibition was removed. That’s what abrogation is all about. Giving people time to adjust. You cannot dump all the rules on the people in one go and expect people to change overnight. That would not be wise and would surely backfire. Jesus, God bless him, also abrogated some of the laws of the previous scripture. He said, “And I have come to confirm what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with miracles from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me.” Quran (3:50) God unfolds the law slowly to give people time to learn and adjust. Do people change overnight? Are people like robots? Of course not! People need time to learn and adopt to the new laws. God is merciful. Allah gave the first Islamic community lots of time to adjust. Many things in Islam were done over years to allow people to change: • Prayer wasn’t five times daily initially. • Fasting was implemented gradually. Initially, it was three days per month, and then later it was extended to the month of Ramadan (during day time only, not 24 hours). • Zakat was introduced later. • Hajj was introduced later. • Hijab was introduced at a later stage in Medina. • Prohibitions on alcohol, fornication/adultery, and usury (riba) were also implemented gradually in stages. Some people mistakenly believe that God cannot change the legal laws he Himself created. As such, they reject abrogation and see it as something contradictory that disproves religion. But that’s a rush to judgment. To me, abrogation is about change management of human behavior that takes time to change. It’s about giving people time to adjust. It’s a mercy from loving God, Allah. What about theology? Can theology change? Absolutely NOT! Only LEGAL laws change, not rational laws. Islamic theology is based on rational laws. Abrogation applies only to legal laws. More specifically, abrogation only applies to laws that contain commandments and prohibitions . Theology (aqida) does not change as it pertains to absolute truth and rational truths. It would be ridiculous if absolute truths rational truths changed. In Torah, it’s One God. In present day Gospel, all of a sudden God has a son. That’s a violation of rational truth that God is one. On the other hand, legal truths (shariah) may be changed by God because these have to do with human behavior. Similarly, morality does not change. Only a certain commandments and prohibitions were changed/relaxed as the new community become accustomed to the new way of life. This is mercy from God. It takes time for human behavior to change/adjust. It’s like raising children. It’s like training a new employee. You don’t let your child go out alone… then eventually once you feel comfortable and trust them, you let them go out. Aqida (Islamic theology) NEVER changes because it has to do with absolute truths. Absolute truths NEVER change. Legal truths (laws) may evolve, with God’s command, to give people time. Sharia (law) was gradually revealed. Once Islam was completely revealed, no more change occurred thereafter. Abrogation has to do with prohibitions and commandments, not rational or theological truths. Was anyone surprised? Was abrogation done without warning? No! In fact, Allah has stated clearly in sura Baqarah (verse 106) to inform the Prophet as well as the believers that abrogation can occur, so they don’t get surprised. No Muslim objected to abrogation. The Quran says, “When We replace a verse with another1-and Allah knows best what He reveals-they say, “You ˹Muḥammad˺ are just a fabricator.” In fact, most of them do not know. (Quran 16:101) So how many verses were abrogated? Only twenty verses. These are detailed by Imam Suyuti’s classical and authoritative work al-itqan fi ulum -alquran. He says that the purpose of abrogation is to lighten the burden. For example, initially, the Muslims were asked to fight an enemy up to ten times greater. Later on, this requirement was relaxed/eased and the Muslims were expected to fight an enemy if the enemy is double their size. If greater, then they can withdraw and not fight. “Now, Allah has lightened the burden for you. He knows that among you is weakness. So if there are one hundred steadfast among you, they will overcome two hundred. And if there are a thousand among you, they will overcome two thousand by the leave of Allah . And Allah is with the steadfast.” (Quran 8:66) Only hypocrites and ignorant people have problems with abrogation. Not a single Muslim around Prophet Muhammad ﷺ had any issues with abrogation. They totally understood it. They found it to be a blessing and mercy from God to allow them time to change. Aisha (رضي الله عنها), a wife of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, said the purpose of gradually revealing is to give people time to adjust (al-Bukhari). Of course, the hypocrites saw this as an opportunity and tried to create problems, but it was obvious what their objective was. Here’s the translation of a direct quote of Aisha (رضي الله عنها) from Arabic as mentioned in al-Bukhari: “Surely, the first thing revealed in the Quran was a sura from the mufassal (Surah 50 thru the end) which contains reminders of the Paradise and the Fire. So, when people became more conscientious of Islam, then came down the rules of halal and haram. Had it not been the case, had the people been told in the very beginning “Do not drink alcohol”, they would have said, “We will never put away alcohol”. And had they been told “Do not commit adultery/fornication”, they would have said, “We will never leave adultery/fornication”. (Bukhari: 4993). We can understand from Aisha’ statement that the rules of halal and haram came down only after the people were established in their belief in the hereafter: paradise and fire. There’s no point in telling people to follow halal and haram unless they have belief. What is the wisdom behind abrogation? As indicated by Aisha (رضي الله عنها), the wisdom is to give people time to adjust. I think there are three additional possible wisdoms behind abrogation: 1. If we return to same conditions, then some of the rules may apply. 2. A new Muslim is given time to adjust and slowly grow into the new faith. In other words, they’re not held responsible for not knowing how to pray, fast, etc. These things take times. They’re not responsible for not knowing halal and haram. They’re given time to learn from a teacher. 3. The ruler can implement laws gradually. I think it’s very loving and merciful of God to let the first community evolve and adopt. God is merciful. Once Islam was completely revealed over decades, no more legal change occurred. For future, abrogation gives us some lessons. For example, we can learn from it that if a person is addicted to drugs/alcohol, you can reduce it gradually (as per doctor recommendation). You don’t cut if off all of a sudden as it may backfire. In fact, Aisha (RA) said almost the same thing about abrogation. The addicted person might get seriously harmed if you do it suddenly. Another possible lesson we can get from abrogation is that when Islam enters into a new community, shariah is not implemented in one-go. It’s implemented in stages, gradually, over period of time. How slow to go is depends on the ijtihad of the scholars (there might not be a perfect rate). But do it gradually to allow people to change. People are not machines or computers. Again, it’s the law that was gradually introduced over time, not theological and moral truths which are true always and forever, and never subject to change.
you have done a great job about an hour ago i got to know about abrogation i searched it on google and youtube and here i got the answer. may Allah bless you with more knowledge and happiness.😇
Mashallah very nice thought of Quran and work for islam. Thanks GhamdI sb. Allah bless you. Regards Khan Ahmad Gura Farman elahi bani kisan board sarialmgir
I think there's something we have to notice that Allah has knowledge of everything. And everything means everything. So I don't think before arriving of ayat which has been forgetten should do exist because Allah already knows the reaction of companions and the hypocrites so I think we should find a more authentic tafseer. I am student of ghamidi sahb but I am.not finding this tafseer well because It is my imaan Allah can't do misktakes

A’Salaamu Alikum Ghamdi sb, You’d agree with me that there has been a great deal of disagreement among the leading scholars on the term abrogation, its extent, the number of abrogated verses and its determination! Imam Jalal-ud-Din Suyuti (ra) has said that the number of abrogated verses are 19 which were later reduced by Hazrat Shah Waliullah Sahib Dehlavi (ra) to only five verses. And a few current scholars consider their number not more than three! It is worth noting that if the verses of the Qur'an were abrogated, would not the Prophet (PBUH) himself have pointed them out? And if he (PBUH) did, then the disagreement among scholars on it (according to Abu Muslim Isfahani) is a proof that “no part of the Qur'an is abrogated and all the verses are obligatory. Assuming that the number of abrogated verses is nineteen (according to Imam Jalal-ud-Din Suyuti) or so, then reducing their number is a great crime which is attributed to Hazrat Shah Waliullah Sahib Dehlavi (ra)! Allah SWT says about the glorious Qur’an, “Don't these people meditate on the Qur'an? Had it been from other than Allah, they would have found in it many differences” [4-82].
it is matter of deep discussion !!! This had to be cleared only at the time of Rasool Allah if we believe that the Qur'an was completed at his time. Also it has come in the Quran that if it was not the words of Allah, you would have found a lot of difference in them. But I know Islam is true, then what is its solution?

Ghamidi saheb has not replied to this question of abrogation of the verses of the Quran. The direct and most suitable answer to this problem of abrogation of certain verses is that according to 2:106 God says ,” We do not abrogate any verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth a better verse than that or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah ( The Ruler of the creature only one and alone)is over all things has the power ( QADEER) to do all things. And in 22:52 we find,” And We did not send before you any messenger or prophet except that when he recited ( the messages of God) the Satan put into it ( some of his own statements to misguide the humans in the past)The Allah abrogates that which Satan put into it. Then Allah decides ( what was actually said and what was put in by Satan in the messages given to the people before you). And Allah knows very much ( about all such changes) and decides what is true and what was falsely added by Satan. “. These verses prove that God always known the changes made by the Satan and removes what was put in by him and replace them with true messages He had given to the people in the past. For example Satan put this statement in the Bible that Jesus was born without a human father and hence he was a son of God and god himself. But since the humans have a short memory they forgot to see in the Bible that Jesus himself said, “ I am a son of man”. This was corrected by God in 19:16 to 22 saying that Jesus was born of a marriage between the man sent by God with His message and Mary who accepted her Lord and Master’s orders and agreed to marry that man and thus Jesus was born to her. She then accepted his semen and went away with her husband to a far away place ( to avoid the people to give any answer to their probable questions about not keeping her vow to remain unmarried through out her life. These messages of God are misunderstood because of the bad influence of man made false Hadith. Other wise every sensible human knows that HAMALAT HOO AND WENT AWAY WITH HIM, clearly proves that she got married to the man sent by her Lord and Master and agreed to have a healthy boy from him.
With all respects for Ghamidi sahb, abrogation can't be a part of Quran if it was then that must have been mentioned in Quran clearly or hadeeth. Even scholars differ on which ayah is mansookh and which is not, when we are not able to intrepret an ayah for current situation or find conflict in two ayahs which is again bcus of incorrect intrprtation we say that this ayah is abrogated. There are no two ayahs in Quran which contradict with each other
@Asim Ayyubi may be I haven't got that but have listened to it again, and Ghamidi sahb clearly said those ayahs were reaveled for that specific incident n are not impliable for future
@Asim Ayyubi I don't have any kind of idea but the reality is Quran is guidance, almost every ayah revealed was based on some incident it doesn't means that is not valid for future there wud be a many circumstances and if by any chance it was true then who will tell which has been abrogated and which is not, you will think some of them were for that time only and others wud suggest other ayahs, n that is what had happened different scholars suggested different ayahs
@Asim Ayyubi sorry bro doesn't understand what you said, but yes there is a dispute in the count of ayahs from 300 to 3, and whats bad in using the word abrogation we all know the context and everyone use it in the same context not sure which context you refers to. Yes the problem is people are divided into sects because they don't give Quran the priority moreover to me Ghamidi sahb is very respectful and if I differ his opinion it doesn't mean I consider him of some other sect. But no one has the right to say that a single ayah of Quran is not valid for action yes application would depend on situation. I respect Israr sb the most among them but I strongky disagree to his many interpretations which never has lessen my love and respect for him.
@Asim Ayyubi ok but that can not happen too, thats what I said in first comment every ayah is has implications because some people were not able to differentiate they think this way
Ghamidi says the Qur'an is a living book yet states there are dead verses in it! He uses fairy-tale hadith to make up stories about the Qur'an when it states it should be approached with purity of thoughts, and that is why he does not understand abrogation The Qur'an states that abrogation has occurred due to removing previous rules from previous scriptures that Allah gave them and were no longer required as well as abrogating the rules created by men and attributed to Him. It is denying the Qur'an by saying that inhumane rules were given by Allah in His Qur'an and then abrogated by humane ones; what nonsense! This is Ghamidi's mental state of affairs:- 23:66 My messages were conveyed to you, but you used to turn back on your heels. 23:67 In arrogance, talking nonsense about these verses like people telling fables far into the night. 23:68 Have they not pondered the Word? Is the revelation something that never came to their remote ancestors? 23:69 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, that they deny him? [10:16] Read what is abrogated: 2:99 Surely, We have revealed unto you clear verses, and none will deny them but those who drift away from reason. 2:100 (This reflects in their daily lives.) Is it not so that whenever they make a pledge with others, a party among them breaks it (and others feel liberated from their collective responsibility)? Nay, indeed! Most of them choose to disbelieve. 2:101 And now that a Messenger has come unto them from God confirming the Truth in what they have, a party among those who were given the Scripture before, cast the Book of God (the Bible) behind their backs as though unaware of what it says (concerning the advent of Prophet Muhammad). 2:102 (They had followed conjecture in the past as well.) Some satanic folk spread a rumor in the Kingdom of Solomon. Solomon never disbelieved in the Divine Laws, but the satanic folk did. They fabricated a story that two angels Haaroot and Maaroot had descended in Babylon and taught magic to some people; and that they used to warn people, “We are only a temptation, therefore be not oblivious to the rational Divine Laws.” The rumor further stated that people learned magic from both of them and learned how to create discord between a man and his wife. They could harm none against the Divine Laws. And what they try to learn only harms them and does not profits them. Indeed, they ought to know that any person indulging in this trade (the so-called occult sciences) will be a loser in the long run, and shall have no portion in the Hereafter. And certainly, evil is the price for which they sell their humanity, if they only knew better. 2:103 If they had believed (in the immutability of the Divine Laws) and remained mindful (of this fact), the reward for their actions would have been far better from God’s Presence. This is so because they would have, then, used this knowledge. [Divine Laws never change 33:62, 35:43, 48:23, and you will never find even a slight turn in them 17:77] 2:104 O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! Never say to the Prophet, "Raaina - listen to us.” Instead, say, "Unzurna!” (Grant us attention). And then listen intently. There is a painful consequence for the rejecters of Divine Commands. [Ya ayyuhallazeena aamanu is generally, but inaccurately, translated as “O You who believe!”, “O Believers!”, “O You of faith! O Faithfuls!” etc. - Firstly, aamanu is a verb. Secondly, attaining to belief must be an act consciously undertaken after due reflection and with free will. ‘Passive’ faith such as claiming to be a ‘believer by birth’ has no merit in the Sight of God. See 4:136, 12:108. Also, choosing to believe in Truth is a great blessing of God. Hence, my rendition: O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! Ra’ina with a slight twist of the tongue and in very similar Hebrew words has derogatory meanings to it, e.g. “Be our shepherd”, “O Our proud one!”, “May deafness befall you.” Some Jews resorted to these kinds of insults to the Prophet (4:46). The Lesson is this: Be not ambiguous and speak words straight to the point. 33:70] 2:105 Neither the deniers from among the People of the Book nor the idolaters love that any good thing should be bestowed upon you from your Lord. But God chooses for His Grace (of Revelation) whom He wills. For, God is the (non-discriminating) Lord of Infinite Bounty. [3:70-71, 16:30] 2:106 Any Message (of aforetime) that We revoke or cause to be lost to history, We replace it with a better or similar one. Do you not know that God is the Supreme Controller of all things and events? [Some of the People of the Book question why a new Revelation was necessary. The evolution of human civilization has now come to a point where the Final Message for all mankind can be given, implemented and preserved forever. So, the Qur’an is now the perfected Message for all mankind at all times; its exact preservation guaranteed by none but the Almighty Himself. 5:48, 6:115-116, 15:9, 16:101, 22:52] 2:107 Do you not know that to God belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth? And (if you defy His Commands you will find that) you have no patron or helper besides God. [He is fully Cognizant of your needs, and knows the messages and timings of His revelations]
This is absolutely a bogus explanation. Can he explain the circumstances by which ayat 9-5 abrogates most of the other ayats without any rhyme or reason ? Muslims call Quran the eternal word of Allah, then how come that part of the eternal word is replaced by another part? Quran is not at all a divine book, but manufactured by Mohammad to rule over other human beings masquerading as Allah's last massenger.
So Quran is like Constitution of a country made by people... Which needs to be updated....that's whay people say that it's rule made by Mohammed himself.. God's word can't be amended it's all perfect... Because God knows what's going to happen in future... But men don't... Keep on following the qasims Constitution... May God guide u from lies of Islam... How the stories were derived from Quran through khadijas cousin by meeting with prophet
ghamdi sahab is clearly saying how those laws were necessary and relevant for the people of that time. Allah is all knowing so He did what was best for people of that time to train them and once that was done He made some changes and made his laws relevant for the yet to come generations too. this nowhere proves that He changed his mind because of people it only shows how He knew what was needed and when it was needed.
@@zainabehsan822 ok he made laws according to people of that time . Now what about the people of today..?? Will u bring change in that old law book for that tym????? .. So is triple talaq halala applicable today??? Surah 4:34 says u should beat her if she doesn't obey u..... Surah 2:223 she is like a farmland fr u so come to her whatever n whenever u want to.... Surah 4:15 says if she does immorality close her in house till her death ... What about man doing same???? ... Sunan abi dawud 2147 u should not ask husband y he beat his wife..... Bhukhari 3241 says if a woman spends night Away frm bed of his husband angel curse him till morning.....which law is applicable today...this is simply rule book of mohammad himself....he mixed Islam from gospel Torah and ritual of pagans....Islam is mixture if it...is hajj Islamic??? No kissing black stone nd walls of kabba and going around it was pagans practice...kbba was centre of pagans worshipper...pagans used to do same twaf .....
@الفرقان and do u know after the death of waraqa mohd was so upset and claimed revelations to him has been stopped 😂.. The revelation stopped fr about 3 yrs 😃... Because mohammad had to do lot of struggle to study the books written by waraqa... It was easy for him to study stories when waraqa was alive... So he befooled people .... Come out of lies of Islam
@الفرقان go read properly.. After death of waraqa revelation were paused... First pause of revelation was long lasted for about 3 yr.. Why this happened with death of waraqa?? 😂story teller died now he got ill what to do next how to befool people n rule them.. Why would God not send him revelation 😂😂😂.. Come out of lies of islaam

🕊Super explanation. Long live Ghamidi Shb.
Jazakallah o khair ghamidi sahb...
And I have come to you with miracles from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me.” Quran (3:50)
God unfolds the law slowly to give people time to learn and adjust. Do people change overnight? Are people like robots? Of course not! People need time to learn and adopt to the new laws.
God is merciful. Allah gave the first Islamic community lots of time to adjust. Many things in Islam were done over years to allow people to change:
• Prayer wasn’t five times daily initially.
(Quran 16:101)
So how many verses were abrogated? And Allah is with the steadfast.” (Quran 8:66)
Only hypocrites and ignorant people have problems with abrogation.
Here’s the translation of a direct quote of Aisha (رضي الله عنها) from Arabic as mentioned in al-Bukhari:
“Surely, the first thing revealed in the Quran was a sura from the
mufassal (Surah 50 thru the end) which contains reminders of the Paradise and the Fire.
We can understand from Aisha’ statement that the rules of halal and haram came down only
after the people were established in their belief in the hereafter: paradise and fire. There’s no point in telling people to follow halal and haram unless they have belief.
What is the wisdom behind abrogation? As indicated by Aisha (رضي الله عنها), the wisdom is to give people time to adjust. I think there are three additional possible wisdoms behind abrogation:
Excellent reply

Surah Saffat pe bayaan kub upload hoga?
I think there's something we have to notice that Allah has knowledge of everything. And everything means everything. So I don't think before arriving of ayat which has been forgetten should do exist because Allah already knows the reaction of companions and the hypocrites so I think we should find a more authentic tafseer. I am student of ghamidi sahb but I am.not finding this tafseer well because It is my imaan Allah can't do misktakes
North pole par aur uske nazdeek vale mulkon mei rahne vala momin Bina insani ijaad "ghadi" ke roza kaise rakhega? Matalab sahari aur iftaari ka time kaise Tay hoga?
A’Salaamu Alikum Ghamdi sb,
You’d agree with me that there has been a great deal of disagreement among the leading scholars on the term abrogation, its extent, the number of abrogated verses and its determination!
Ghamdi saheb 30 din ka zikr to quran mein nahi hai. Faqat kuchh dinon ke liye wali baat hai. Ise wazah karden to meharbani hogi.

Kis per giran guzrega is ka ilm to Allah ko pehle se tha to pehle kuch kukm aur baad mein ek doosra hukum, ye baat jami nahin. Hosakta hai koi hadees ko Aayat samajh kar quran mein shaamil kardiya gaya ho. Huzur salam ki wafat ke baad insaanon ne hi bikhri huti aayaton ko jama ki, kitab ki shikl dene ke liye.

@Asim Ayyubi Quran is a living book which means it is completely in its full valid for till the end.
@Asim Ayyubi ok but that can not happen too, thats what I said in first comment every ayah is has implications because some people were not able to differentiate they think this way
Ek ayat aati he musle 10 per bhari he..turant uske bad aati he 2 per

Absurdity
Ghamidi says the Qur'an is a living book yet states there are dead verses in it! He uses fairy-tale hadith to make up stories about the Qur'an when it states it should be approached with purity of thoughts, and that is why he does not understand abrogation
The Qur'an states that abrogation has occurred due to removing previous rules from previous scriptures that Allah gave them and were no longer required as well as abrogating the rules created by men and attributed to Him. It is denying the Qur'an by saying that inhumane rules were given by Allah in His Qur'an and then abrogated by humane ones; what nonsense!
This is Ghamidi's mental state of affairs:-
23:66 My messages were conveyed to you, but you used to turn back on your heels.
23:67 In arrogance, talking nonsense about these verses like people telling fables far into the night.
23:68 Have they not pondered the Word? Is the revelation something that never came to their remote ancestors?
23:69 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, that they deny him? [10:16]
Read what is abrogated:
2:99 Surely, We have revealed unto you clear verses, and none will deny them but those who drift away from reason.
[Divine Laws never change 33:62, 35:43, 48:23, and you will never find even a slight turn in them 17:77]
2:104 O You who have chosen to be graced with belief!
2:105 Neither the deniers from among the People of the Book nor the idolaters love that any good thing should be bestowed upon you from your Lord. But God chooses for His Grace (of Revelation) whom He wills. For, God is the (non-discriminating) Lord of Infinite Bounty. [3:70-71, 16:30]
2:106 Any Message (of aforetime) that We revoke or cause to be lost to history, We replace it with a better or similar one.
5:48, 6:115-116, 15:9, 16:101, 22:52]
2:107 Do you not know that to God belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth? And (if you defy His Commands you will find that) you have no patron or helper besides God. [He is fully Cognizant of your needs, and knows the messages and timings of His revelations]
Hadiiths have completely taken over their minds. They’re literally incapable of reading the Quran because of their fondness of Arab tales.
Jannat me khajur ke ped hoge..
Kyu ki mohmand ko nai pta mango jesi koi chiz he 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So Quran is like Constitution of a country made by people...
@الفرقان also khadija helped him in his plan after death of waraqa
