About Young Sheldon:
It’s 1989 and 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper has skipped four grades to start high school along with his less-intellectual older brother. As he struggles to be understood by his family, classmates and neighbors, his mother arms him with the best tool she can come up with: reminding bullies his dad is the football coach and his brother is on the team. His twin sister doesn’t share his exceptional mind, but she has a much clearer vision of what life has in store for the young genius.

At the beginning of the episode, when the bowtie was missing, Mary immediately started yelling at Georgie, accusing him of hiding it. When she was proven wrong, she never apologized to her other child.

Fun fact about me : I was really smart when I was in 1st grade, and I was a fourth grade level. I was going to be moved into the fourth grade, but they tried to move the there for a week to see how I was going to respond. I was terrified of the fourth graders because they were so big, so I was never transferred.

I realize this was equally irrelevant but relevant at the same time, and by that I mean that Sheldon slightly reminds me of my past self, always wanting to prove myself and my intelligence, but yet always managing to be overlooked simply for how young I am or how I look, and frankly I'm still like that to this day, and perhaps it's something I'll never grow out of.

Tbh, i dont blame Sheldon for being a bit of a so called jerk people make him out to be, specially later on. As we see here, he has to feel threatened for being a naturally clever kid, and having to deal with the fact kids will be a dick to him cause of it. Thats the world we live in. Its considered the norm that bullying is ok.
Why shouldn't he be able to wear his bow tie? Why does he have to be the one what does what the bullies wish? Is it any wonder he is the way he is socially (dont like being touched etc) when he is told by his own mother the world is not gonna accept him.

Funny thing is that later he becomes school president, meaning the highschoolers did make him their leader.
He was only elected student body president (not school president as I think that is the function of the principal) because Missy helped him get information on his competitor.

I just finished the first six seasons on Netflix and still have never seen TBBT but this kid who is acting is one of the most adorable children on earth .. when he got older as in the last two seasons I saw I found his acting more annoying than anything funny, but the show is so good and about so much more. again adorable kid

That's pretty much how I survived grades 10, 11, and 12, except I helped out the athletics department mainly with football, and I knew all the coaches and big players.
Mary expected Georgie to take care of Sheldon at school, after screaming at him for hiding Sheldon's bowtie, which Georgie never did. How about an apology to your other son, Mary?

As a sophomore, I moved to a new school. By the end of week one, I decided to find a lunch mate by looking for someone sitting by themselves. The kid I found turned out to be a brilliant freshman. He wasn't a prodigy like Sheldon, but he did leave school early to attend MIT. Seniors would come to our table at lunch to ask him about physics and chem homework. He was the only kid I know to ace the senior chem final.

That's because the pilot episode was filmed months before the second episode. Iain Armitage probably had a growth spurt between episodes just like he does between later seasons.
The kid actors must have also be genius too to learn and act these lines so well
