I can't agree with you more. It is almost hypnotic and while I was filming I really had to try to stay focused at the task at hand (filming). But a few times I let the camera stray away because it is so relaxing to watch him practice Taiji. I am fortunate to have him as my Taiji teacher.
*sitting here drinking loose leaf black tea and watching this video equals a very peaceful nine minutes of Taoism.* Thanks for posting and a double thanks for allowing us to hear the natural sounds the practitioner was hearing. It helps to experience the fullness of the video. Too many martial arts videos on TH-cam have music overlays which can disconnect the viewer from true experience of the practitioner.
Thank You for the video! I study under the line of Master Zhu Tiancai, Shifu Kam Lee and instructor Nick Kusturic in Delray Beach, Florida and own the older instructional video with the indoor bamboo screen. I think the outdoor setting and natural ambient sound brings a pure message. I practice outdoors in the early mornings myself and have recently started leaving the music off. To me it adds an entirely new dimension to my study. Thanks again. John O.
I have done many seminars with Chen Zhenglei and so of course i'm partial to his Taiji/gongfu, but I must say that Master Zhu Tiancai's Taiji is AWESOME!!! His principles that he shows in Lao jia yi lu, are the actual principles OF Laojia yi lu. Too many times I see people do this form and their expression is utilizing the rules/principles/spirit of xinjia. Great video, thanks. :)
@chenshi56 , Sorry you didn’t like the video. It was shot in Chen Village & my intention was to keep it totally natural with only sounds from the environment. You can hear insects & roosters in the background. There are many stages to practice Taiji depending on the player’s personal choice. I also sometimes use music in my practice and even in some of my outdoor video clips. .When I train outside I prefer the sounds of nature (that is also like music to me) Thanks for your honesty
Thank you for this! I have studied under Master Chen Zhenglei and to me his Lao Jia is my litmus test. Even other Chen Masters (CXW,FZQ etc), I really don't like their Lao Jia. I see either too much Xinjia influence ,or just too "choppy". This is the first time seeing Zhu Tian Cai perform Lao Jia Yi Lu and all i can say is WOW!!!! :)

Thank you so much for that video. I believe it's one of the best out there about Lao Jia Yi Lu.
Vielen Dank!
