Thanks John for another superb demolition video. Your thoughtful video editing and camera work make your videos a pleasure to watch. Keep up the great work!
That operator was getting very nervous about all that structure hanging over his machine. In earlier videos, removing the two center column's collapsed the upper floors, but not this time, until he pulled on the last one.
That shear is in need of some maintenance. 35:45 you can see the cylinder moving quite a bit on the pin. The attachment will have a pretty spectacular failure sometime in the near future i predict.
Another good watch, John. Thanks. I see the building next door is also vacant on on the market as a redevelopment site. I found one site that claims that site if worth $101m -- how could one redevelop as housing at that price? It's smaller than this one, so maybe around 100 units? That's a million per unit in land cost, plus demo and new construction costs? A million and a half to two million for a townhouse???
About a dozen cars in the parking lot for the building next door, so almost vacant. I haven't seen the development plans for the site. However, this region is insanely expensive. Townhouses a block away on Stonehenge Place are going for over a million.
@@JohnZWetmore Thanks. I found a listing by JLL Investor Center that is promoting it as 4.06 acres and "ideal for an office to townhome redevelopment." I thought I saw someplace claiming it was vacant, but can't find that now.

Glad you liked it. Thanks.
Wow! That complete collapse at the end was epic.. and all with a machine half the height of the structure. What an operator.
