You should ask these questions more often.
It seemed less unfriendly, and more indifferent. It's not like she hated him or anything, she just didn't have an opinion one way or another. Sometimes, that happens in life. A person you didn't really think about, and suddenly you realize something about them that attracts you. As for the rest, anyone could "find someone better", regardless of what draws them initially. If you live your life worrying about that, you won't get very far.
