I currently have my CPC right now. Im nervous but excited at the same time I can’t wait to start working in risk adjustment😊
Can we write notes in icd book, the preparation items, some questions from the crc study guide, because it's hard to remember much, I am taking lot and lots of notes, I have no vacant area in book after taken the notes, please let me know if this is allowed

Just purchased ur study guide! I am a CPC wanting to add the CRC after my name! I LOVE RISK ADJ, there is no coding platform that affects PT care more than RA! I do code RA as a side hustle, In addition to my other path/lab coding job!
Once you go through the study guide and recording, please let me know if you have any questions. I love it too. With using just one book, I can wholeheartedly focus on learning one subject, chronic conditions.
@@MJTheCodingCoach I do have one question right off… one of the participants asked if Z79.4 is required on a Type I DM patient and you had said yes, but I’ve always been taught that for Type I coding the LTU of Insulin is not required bc it is a given if they’re Type I bc the Patient could not survive without insulin. In the Tabular if you look at E10 it doesn’t give guidance on insulin use like all the other DM classifications (E11, E09, etc), is this a Risk Adjustment only guideline?
Correct. For E11.- category (Type II) it’s a requirement! You will rarely see type 1 when coding risk adjustment, but of course there are patients with the condition.

No. Many of my students didn’t have a healthcare background at all. I teach everything from the beginning, even if someone has prior experience
