He is great!
Richard Rorty is the best of the best of good guys.
He's actually my Spiritual Brother, an Angel of mine, and I write about him and some of our conversations.
In one book here on TH-cam called "Headbuttressia," he tries to convince me that I'm in Hell as a test upon me to see what I would do.

Some people are totally incapable of lecturing
Max Stirner/ Landstreicher “The Unique and Its Property “ ended all this babble in 1844! Try to keep up.
If people were not silent Hitler,Stalin,Mao couldn't do what they did. Be the voice of Iran's revolution for women life and freedom. The regime is killing us in the streets.Don't be silent.#mahsaamini
Brilliant thinker, terrible teacher of undergrads, wholly uninspiring. So many researchers detest teaching, at least that was my experience in natural philosophy in the academy.
twaddle by a 90s era sophist
The vulgar preconception with sophists, based in non historical Plato version about them. Protagoras, Gorgias, Isocrates were great thinkers and philosophers.
Yes 👏 I’ve always thought of this guy as a modern day protagoras
@@Jedi_Mind_ yes, Protagoras was great.
Deprecation without critique is a piker's game.
Chances are you find Rorty to be 'twaddle' because either (1) you haven't actually familiarised yourself with his work and what he really says, or (2) you're afraid of his conclusions but can't argue against them, so you feel the need to ridicule him.
