Hello, I'm a U.S. student whose coming to UCL this September for the MA Film Studies program, and I think you just convinced me to apply for accommodation at New Hall. I know this is late but just want to say that what you said about feeling like an imposter and comparing yourself is not far from cheesy. I'm not an economics major (far from it) but i have seen how toxic the consultants-to-be students culture that came from economics, business, and engineering students was, my uni was full of them and boi it was scary to see even from an outsider's view. These people have a very specific path and their grind is different but it can affect you if you're constantly surrounded by them. I am glad you realised that and chose to focus on drawing your own path. idk i just felt like saying this, keep going gurl x
preach!!! i totally get why people want to follow this path (and obviously it's their choice) but realizing that I don't see myslef in what the majority of people doing my major do was really freeing (and equally scary lol). anyways, thank you for your comment & don't let them get to you bestie! x

Have you considered an MBA degree? It's an alternative to a masters in economics and it would offer you a wide variety of different careers paths. You would not have to choose which area of business to pursue in your first year. You would have a year to consider your options.
