I saw Alyson (Loonette) just a few weeks ago. She was directing an episode of a TV show that is filming in the studio I manage. I saw her every day for 2 weeks and I didn’t even recognize her thanks to her COVID mask.

It’s crazy going back and watching that season because first of all you can’t even tell unless you’re aware of her pregnancy and you’re looking for it and also the fact that they used Alyson and the other cast and crew as background characters in stories so she was playing Loonette plus additional side characters in all the episodes of season six. Very impressive
As an American, I never realized how much Canadian content impacted my childhood. I loved the heck out of Sagwa (an American and Canadian co-production), Franklin and Little Bear (which both aired on Nick Jr), and Timothy Goes To School (despite being short-lived) which aired on PBS Kids in the early 2000s for their "Bookworm Bunch" block before briefly returning to television on the TLC and Discovery Kids weekday morning block "Ready Set Learn" in 2006. Between the 90s and early 2000s, Nelvana alongside the Ocean Group (Loved the English Dub of Hamtaro as a kid) was the king at making animated children's content from Canada.
Ill have to see a image of Timothy goes to school. All the other shows i remember watching. I really want to remember the show about music videos with children in them and the one eye purple human eater was like the mascots i think i remember also bear in the big blue house was great, bananas in pajamas alot of those old children shows were nice plus pretty long. The new children shows are pretty fast Oh! I even started watched some busy town episodes on TH-cam even though their episode numbers are abit lost since one will say episodes 364 and am like their that many episodes wwwwhhhhaaaatttt.
Same! Now I just get angry at them after living with one during college. They would practice in the living room while I tried studying for classes. Pure rage flows through me when I hear that music now.
NO! NO! NO! Many people say I am sick in the head. NOOOO!!!! I don't believe them. But there are so many people commenting this stuff on my videos, that I have 1% doubt. So I have to ask you right now: Do you think I am sick in the head? Thanks for helping, my dear ogh
I used to watch it a little too much when I was little and I still despise clowns to this day Also hey Offhand Disney I love watching your content especially when it’s about creepy stuff Also also I’m a subscriber to yours and Defunctland’s channels
This whole show was also the reason why I really enjoyed clowns and didn’t see them as scary as I got older, in fact, I always felt turning clowns into a scary/horror medium was completely against why clowns/jesters where created.
@@tiggyvolts9076 I feel like the fact that it's so default and people are afraid of even normal clowns makes it still pretty unoriginal. We need more good clowns in media
We also made amazing early slasher horror movies like Black Christmas 1974 and My Bloody Valentine 1981. It's also ironic how the original 1990 IT movie was filmed in Vancouver. With the newer movies being filmed in parts of Ontario and Toronto with a few scenes in Vancouver
I didn’t realize this was an almost exclusively Canadian show. I’m American born ‘97 and I had several VHS tapes I watched and seeing this popped up in my feed was such a blast from the past Edit: Got to the part where he said it aired on PBS, now I’m sure that’s where I saw it
I was born in '93 but grew up with it in the US and loved re-runs of that show. I legit figured it was because I was in Michigan and we sometimes got Canadian shows there that that's why I saw it XD Until he said it then came to the US and I was like "ah nevermind" - I always loved Loonette. She was like a big sister on TV
It was so hard trying to do it along with her growing up too, but I never complained cause lil ol' me loved doing the stretches and just watching the show lol
I am 26 and I STILL call my daily chores 10 Second Tidy. Also I have had not one but 2 orange cats named Snigglefritz. This show has stuck with me so much ♥️
I really thought this he was going to ruin my childhood and talk about some Big Comfy Couch scandal but instead he took me down nostalgia lane and now i'm sitting at my desk at work sobbing because I miss being a child
Hey no need to cry for what was lost. Live for what can be. Life's what you make it in a way, sure there's circumstance, but it's never too late to be a child everywhere except visage ^.^
My mom actually wrote a letter to this show because I used to stuff everything in the couch instead of putting things back where they belonged. Throwback.
Fun fact: Another of Alyson Court's famous 90's roles was voicing Claire Redfield in Resident Evil 2 and Code: Veronica, and there's a funny story regarding that and the BCC. Alyson was doing one of the live appearances mentioned in this video in New York City back in 1998, at a toy store where she did a meet-and-greet for children. During a break, she decided to get up and have a bit of a walk around and happened upon a booth showcasing the then-newly released Resident Evil 2. As was per-usual (and to a great degree, this is still a thing today), Alyson had never seen the actual game, nor had any context of her character beyond reading her lines. So what grabbed her attention was hearing her own voice coming from the booth, which prompted her to enter and see the game--and her character--in action for the first time. So imagine, if you will, Loonette the Clown walking into a booth showing one of the most violent and gory games on the market at that time with a big awed smile on her face for reasons most people probably couldn't put together. IIRC, she mentioned that she got a _lot_ of confused and surprised stares.
I remember how shocked I was when I found out that "Loonette" was also the VA for Claire Redfield from the Resident Evil horror series. 😅 When I just happened to catch a quick glimpse of the show on TV, I *knew* she sounded so familiar...
Alyson Court voiced Jubilee in the 90s X-Men cartoon. She recently cameoed as Abcissa in X-Men ‘97. She also had a hand in the localization of Mega Man X5. She’s the reason why the Mavericks in that game all had names referencing Guns ‘n’ Roses, as her husband at the time was a fan of the group.
Apparently when I was a toddler, I would create a huge mess with my toys and then proclaim, standing on the couch, “WHO MADE THIS BIG MESS? Well...I made it...so I’ve gotta clean it up.” I’d then clean up the mess I just made. Then make another one and repeat the process. My mother thought it was such strange behavior until she noticed I was imitating this show.
I feel like being a parent is just like trying to build a sandcastle where when you go to get a soda you come back to find stuff you never added. Kids can be weird yo
My mom always had us do a 10 Second Tidy to clean our rooms when I was little! She would count really slowly to make it seem like we actually did it in 10 seconds! 😂
It’s odd how a children’s tv show could have such an impact but this show truly was so impactful for me as a young child. It was such an integral part of my childhood and it would spark deep creativity for me when I’d watch it. I’m thankful for this show
There needs to be more good child friendly shoes like this. Too often they are made fun of. It’s for innocent kids, no shame in making kid shows with no adults content in there
I think what really sells this show is that the clowns aren't just actors in greasepaint but honest-to-goodness circus performers who can juggle, do acrobatics and perform just the right kind of broad, exaggerated acting. In fact, this is the last piece of mainstream media I can think of where clowns are just... clowns and not ironic or creepy perversions of clowns (which, ngl, I understand why but it kinda bums me out).
I do remember an animated show called Jojo's Circus, and it while it wasn't live action, it did feature clown and circus characters that just made it fun to watch as a kid. I grew up with not only this show, but a lot of Jim Jenkins shows which had similar kind of energy, but for slightly older audience.
@@jlbeeen yeah, but that’s a cartoon and actually takes place in a circus, so it makes sense that it’s not ironic. I can’t think of anything live action where clowns are just clowns.
I embarrassedly watched this show as a kid outside the intended age bracket. I just liked the idea of the couch stuffed with an infinite supply of junk. I started stuffing random toys and junk behind my couch cushions to randomly dig through and pull out. My parents were not pleased.
My younger siblings watched this while I was already in high school. The fact that I know the songs and sang them to my daughter when she was younger. She has no idea they came from a show she never saw. 🤣🤣🤣
Knowing that Lunette was sixteen is breaking me. When I was four, she was just a grown-up in the same bracket as my 50-year-old kindergarten teacher. That’s wild.
@@memethyst wait she was that young?! My sister and I loved that show as kids. When I got older and learned what an actor was, I assumed she was an adult. “Because being an actor is a job, and only adults can have jobs.” I just never cared enough to look it up. @@hunter123123123123 The show was a big hit...but she couldn't keep her secret for long. She had been dealing with stage 3 cancer since the first season, and it was starting to catch up. Thank you Canada for bringing the Big Comfy Couch to America! This was my favorite show growing up and I loved doing the clock stretch and dancing bits. Been wanting to share this show with my kids and now I will!
As an American born in 96, this show often feels like a fever dream because so few friends know/remember it. Still, my own Molly doll was probably my most prized possession
A fever dream is the best way to describe it lol Born in 2004 myself, my only reference to the show was through old VCR tapes my parents had passed down, due to my age it's as if NOBODY knows what I speak of (of the few times I've mentioned the show) PS: never quite nailed the clock stretch - hopefully someday I'll get there :D
@** and? Trying to relate to something and ACTUALLY relating to something are two very different things. You can't fake true relation lol, you really think I would sit through 26 minutes and 23 seconds of Lunette and her couch if I was really trying to "take over" everyone's 90's nostalgia through my relationship with the show? Definitely not haha! Being that I was born in 2004 shouldn't make a difference. If anything, it's even MORE liberating to connect with others (older or not) through a show many around me don't remember. The fact that you feel the NEED to tell me what I MYSELF watched as a six-year-old is just silly and immature :) The facts are: I like the show. I appreciate that there are others who also have fond memories of it. And I'm happy to have found the video. I don't understand why this is upsetting to you (also, saying "no offense" doesn't magically make what you say non-offensive). I'm personally not offended, but I do believe that there's a time and place for telling others what they should relate to - and telling someone younger than yourself that they shouldn't be able to express their love in a show simply because you spent an extra few years on earth longer than them, is stupid. AND yes...we have our "own stuff" as you mentioned. Us gen z's were the first to grow up among smartphones and more tech than ever. If you TRULY want the decades and generations to "stay in their lanes", then you wouldn't be using a smartphone. But I bet you still are. And that's okay lol. And I bet no 17 year old has ever walked up to you and said "you can't use a phone - that's crushing on our generation!", now have they? I don't think they have lol And guess what? Someone younger than you also likes the same show! :D w0W h0w amAzINg If you can't share "your show" (which it's not) with others, then please find help. Thank you for your time - and consider your time saved. I could write paragraphs among paragraphs (with legitimately good insults) surrounding your stupidity, but I think I'll save my breath. I hope you have a fantastic day my friend, and may you never fully complete the clock stretch :)))) Sorry you feel the need to tell me what I should remember as a child.
I grew up with Big Comfy Couch, Cyber chase, Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood, Liberty's Kids, Between the Lions, Zoboomafoo, Arthur and many others. These look backs hit me right in the nostalgia. I miss shows like this nowadays. They were full of imagination, creativity, and passion while teaching. They didn't treat kids like idiots like some of these shows do nowadays. If I ever have kids, Big Comfy Couch will be one of the shows I show them

I know, right? Every once in a while, I'd kind of remember it, but couldn't remember the name of the show or characters, or many details. Then this popped into my recommended.
I remembered because of the molly doll I had and the clock stretching. Didn't remember the name until I google it in my teens. I blame PBS for not showing it as often as they did sesame Street on it's other block like noggin or nick jr. or sprout.

@Andy The Informer oh trust me I know, but I feel just over last like 8 years or so its become a lot worse. My niece is only 6 years old and she's watching ridiculous stuff thats already causing her to develop an anorexia and care about her weight. When my daughter was two to four years old, this show was her favourite thing in the world. She could be doing anything, but the moment she heard the theme she would stampede to the TV room as fast as she could. She's 19 now, and away at University. I don't know why TH-cam recommended this to me, but thank you.
This is so sweet! Reminded me of when I was a child and my mom would wake me up for school by having the TV up loud so I could hear the theme song to "Adventures in Wonderland" playing. It was my favorite show and it came on at like 6/6:30 am. So many memories of rubbing my sleepy eyes as the theme played and trotting to the TV then sitting on the couch and eating cereal. 😭💖 Wholesome times..

You can really see the difference between kids entertainment then and now. Not being a boomer (I’m 26), but hell, people were so passionate in creating a well-curated show for kids that were both educational and fun. Now we have dumb toy reviews on YT and have kids exploited for views and sponsorship. I hate when my nephew watches channels like Vlad and Nikita, they are absolutely uneducational, materialistic and hold no value at all. But yet these are the channels who earn millions.
Yeah, I usually liked the educational shows more, except for spongebob and when we got Nickelodeon channel at 11 years old. Wonder pets was cool, all the treehouse shows, PBS, telethon retro was okay too. Personally if I had children I wouldn’t let them watch TH-cam unless I curated what they could watch. The toy review channels are just mind numbing. Minds absorb so much info at young ages so why not let them enjoy themselves and learn something at the same time?
I agree completely! I’ve actually introduced my kids to shows I watched as a kid becuase there are so many garbage shows for kids these days. I don’t understand why it all has to be just for a toy concept to make money or it’s just plain stupid with no story line and it’s huge waste a time for the viewer and the creators of it. I’ll be sure to introduce this one to my kids!
Yeahhh, if I ever have kids, I wouldn’t let them watch stuff like that. 😂😂 When I do product reviews, I do them SPECIFICALLY on science kits so that people can actually learn something. 😂😂

That's treating a child like property without emotions, not love. I'm not even gonna touch how that messes a kid up if they suffer from anxiety, and no one cares to help them with it. This whole show is full of great wordplay. Even just the main character's name has incredible depth. Loonette . "Loon" (like a clown). But also Lunette, the moon, which features prominently in the show as her symbol.
My parents immigrated to the US from Vietnam when I was really young, with no idea how to speak English. I distinctly remember watching this show all the time. That’s so cool that they wanted this show to be accessible to non English speaking children! I never realized why I enjoyed this show so much as a little kid until now! :’)
What I got from that "where do clowns come from?" part was that after a good performance all the clowns get together, get drunk, and have a clown orgy. And since no one really knows whos kid it is they all "accept it as their own" kid.
So some fun facts about Alyson Court post-show. She did alot of work at Capcom, particularly the Resident Evil series where she was the original voice of Claire Redfield (they didn't bring her back for Rev2 or the remake sadly) She voiced Jubilee in Marvel vs Capcom Clash of Super Heroes. And most famously, she was apart of the localization of Megaman X5 where she named the Maverick bosses after Guns n Roses band members due to her husband's love of the band (her husband also worked at Capcom apparently)
On the topic of voice acting, Alyson Court and Lisa Yamanka (who both did voice acting on the Nelvana series "Timothy Goes To School") previously did voice work on the original Resident Evil 2.

Very impressive
Shout out to PBS network for introducing this show to me in the 90s and early 2000s

It stopped on May 24, 2009 and I remember seeing it then, right before Sesame Street.
@@nostalgiamostalgia0319for some reason, i remember watching it on PBS kids around 2013 - 2015
Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy was also made by a Canadian.

This whole show was also the reason why I really enjoyed clowns and didn’t see them as scary as I got older, in fact, I always felt turning clowns into a scary/horror medium was completely against why clowns/jesters where created.

That's hilarious.
She also voices Jubilee from X-men: The Animated Series.

I was raised in foster care and they had a program called dreams take flight that sent kids to Disney land for a day pass and i was 11yrs old and had no parents with me so i was terrified and she performed on flight and ended up sitting with me keeping me calm from Toronto to Florida :) she fed me fuzzy peaches to keep my ears from popping! Unmatched kindness amazing heart a moment ill never forget
bruh ur so lucky!
I’m 34 cartoons when I was a kid were basically 30 minute toy commercials
I agree completely! I’ve actually introduced my kids to shows I watched as a kid becuase there are so many garbage shows for kids these days. I don’t understand why it all has to be just for a toy concept to make money or it’s just plain stupid with no story line and it’s huge waste a time for the viewer and the creators of it. I’ll be sure to introduce this one to my kids!
Darn these kids with dumb entertainment like Pokémon and every other merchandise based animated series... wait
Yeahhh, if I ever have kids, I wouldn’t let them watch stuff like that. 😂😂 When I do product reviews, I do them SPECIFICALLY on science kits so that people can actually learn something. 😂😂
Before I ever knew she voiced Jubilee in X-Men: The Animated Series or Claire Redfield in the Resident Evil series, she was Loonette.
Wait what? She was Jubilee?!? The more you know I guess/
As well she was the person responsible for having the maverick bosses in Mega Man X5 being named after members of Guns n Roses in the American version
@@MrHaro654 I don't know why, but that's easier for me to believe than her being Claire. Ever since I found that out, I can't get the image of Loonette fighting off a zombie apocalypse out of my head.
>Claire Redfield
LEON
I HAVE JUST TAKEN NOTICE OF A CLOWN UPRISING IN THE AREA AND CLAIRE SEEMS TO BE INTERESTED
NOW GET ON THE FUCKING COUCH...YES, IT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK IT MEANS
No way!
I still remember asking my parents more about consent when they had an episode about physical boundaries. This actually helped me in around kindergarten/first grade when I didn’t want to give hugs to every single stranger that asked.
Yuck
How wonderful it must be to be a loved white child!
Ironically these days I wish someone would give me a hug or even talk to me!
@@stevesharpe3370 violated boundaries = loved, yes. clearly. and i can assure you this isn't exclusive to white children...
i genuinely hope someone hugs you btw even though i found your comment weird. if possible i think getting a small pet might help
@Steve Sharpe Violating consent=love
Ok, buddy. Yeah, forcing your child to be touched inappropriately or kissed in the face by strangers is how you show your child you "love" them. That's treating a child like property without emotions, not love. I'm not even gonna touch how that messes a kid up if they suffer from anxiety, and no one cares to help them with it. And like the other reply said, it's not exclusive to white kids.
But I hope you realize this by now and are able to find real peace.
@@Velvetx4cove you mad bro! I didn’t say you liked it! I said I want it rn!😝 And you know what I mean that sounds like some straight white people stuff! I know y’all are come on now! Maybe a few Spanish in the chat maybe LOL
Y’all don’t even understand how much this segment means to me!!! To this day if it was on Netflix I’d watch it every single morning before work like I did as a kid before school! This show was my life as a kid!!! I was crushed when I was a kid and I couldn’t afford to buy all the merch and stuffed animals at Zaney Brainey!!!
It’s on Tubi.
Omg...zainy brainy. I liked that store too
Awww❤
Oh my God Zainy Brainy was my favorite store as a little kid. I got many a beanie baby from there back then
You have no idea how much this show comforted me as a kid because I was so lonely. I was a poor immigrant child with no friends, didnt speak english well, with a single mom who had to work 12 hours a day, so I was all alone most of my days... My buddies were dollies and stuffed animals, so when I saw Loonette also having a doll friend Molly, I felt happy.
EDIT: Thank you for the sweet comments 🥺
That was so sweet :) Sorry you were lonely, but at least you had the show :)
@@isabella9853 i think back to this show happily :) part of my good childhood memories
aw lol i'm glad this show was there for you. blessings :)
Hugs to your inner child 🤗🤗🤗
did you ever watch big bear in the big blue house? ♡ hugs
anyone else remember that one episode about molly's (almost) uncontrollable anger? the one where loonette just accepted how molly felt and allowed her to release and express her anger? when loonette reasurred molly that while she feels terribly loonette would be there to hold her until she feels better? anyone else crying??
Yes!!
I remember!!! I got scared of molly 😂
I remember that 🥺
Sure do
@Dr. Tamara Worley same, now all cartoon shows are the same and they suck. I was born in 04 and i remember this show, its apart of my favorite memories list❤
gosh remember the episode where she found a caterpillar that straight up died five minutes later and they had a funeral for it and everything
This happened on Dragon Tales too lol. Odd.
@@themindfullone True but that one did become a butterfly (or Dragon Land equivalent) and they only thought it was dead.
@@dominicsanimatedreviews5966
If I remember right, the caterpillar from Dragon Tales was called a Caterpoozle, and it metamorphized into something called a Butterfairy.
I remember that!!!
Full of Life is such a great episode. A wonderful way to explain life and death to a child
I can’t express how much I loved and adored Molly and Lunette (the original) Watching this I can almost feel what I was feeling as a child. The big comfy couch was always comforting and genuine. After seeing this and knowing everyone turned out to be unproblematic I know it actually was genuine. Damn they don’t make children’s shows like they used to, made with love.
The name snicklefritz has lived rent-free in my head for the past 17 years.
it sounds like an old timey curse word
@@memethyst I have used it many times as an alternative curse word! But I never remembered what it was from until this video. 😆
You don't know how much that name has haunted me throughout my childhood and now adulthood at 18 lmao. I never remember why that name was just so relevant until now
I fully intend to name one of my future pets Snicklefritz. I just need to correct spelling 😂
That "where do clowns come from" origin story was WILD
as an adult I kind of feel that it's not too far off from reality for some births
@@aceshighdueceslow honestly? You're not wrong. And that's coming from someone who has given birth and it was a total cluster fuck of an experience
@@ollieguy6781 this whole show kind of made me realize that they act very different to humans. Like loonette has baby stuff but no actual parents i have to assume granny took care of her, i know the clown story claimed she was taken in by alot of clowns but idk.
Wait. The dollhouse family was named “The Foleys,” and they communicated only in sound effects? That’s interesting... because isn’t “foley” a Hollywood term for the sound effects used in movies? 🤔
I didn't even catch that!! You're so right!
Follie
I caught that too!
That's what I was gonna say
I learned something new today.
My sisters and I absolutely loved this show. The clock, the 10 second tidy.... So nostalgic 💗 I'm going to introduce this to my toddler.
“However Meenie was also uninterested in learning the proper dance moves” Typical actor behavior 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Diva's,all of em.
I remember as a kid, I never questioned whether or not the "clock stretch" was that only existed in this show. The way she said it always suggested to me "yep, that sounds like something normal people do."
And you know what? Maybe it should be
😂
@@broskibroski798 Couldn't hurt to try!
This show still slaps. can't change my mind. Loonette and molly were the best friends I could ever have on a vhs.
As a kid from Michigan, I LOVED this show so much. My dad and I used to watch it all the time
“And the cow jumped over the moon” loonette would say it as part of the ending credits 🥺 I miss this show. I was born in 96
Same, i was born in 04 tho
I thought it was “and the clown jumped over the moon.”
@@albertnortononymous9020 you are actually right ! I forgot . I just remembered she would say it at the end and I would cry cause I didn’t want it to end lol.
@@lesleyestevez4598 It's been Clown this whole time, not cow?!!
@@lamontyaboy718 yeaaaaaa lmao I used to think cow like the nursery rhyme but it’s actually “clown” 🥲
I'm definitely "dusting off" my around the clock memories of this fun and community displaying childhood series. Stay safe and keep it up!
Who else tried but failed to do the clock stretch as a 29 year old adult?
Being 41 I know better than to attempt it
If I couldn't at 10 I cant now. Lol
I couldn’t even do it when I was 4, but it was fun to try
I still try it.
I'm 28 and can do it but I don't know how much longer I have left before I lose the ability. If I keep doing the clock stretch every year I might be able to prolong it.
I’m honestly surprised this wasn’t just a fever dream and that other people are nostalgic for this show, too. I still have a mini plush somewhere in my basement of the (big) comfy couch. That theme song is forever burned into my mind, lol
I used to do the clock stretch religiously in my living room every episode hahahha
YES lol
I would wake up every morning get dressed and run into my moms room while she got ready and watch the show. The clock stretch was obviously my favorite part 😁
YAS!!!!
Me too my mom always got a kick out of it
The "foleys" making sound effects. Clever.
This whole show is full of great wordplay. Even just the main character's name has incredible depth. Loonette . "Loon" (like a clown). But also Lunette, the moon, which features prominently in the show as her symbol.
Wait I don't get it can you explain?
@Vexelbun I actually didn't know that. Thank you!
I’ve watched this show several times as an adult and it wasn’t until I watched this video last night that I realized that
im 30 and i still say "WHO MADE THIS BIG MESS?" even tho the only one who hears me is my cat
Who snicklefritz?lol
* Camera zooms in *
Me, meekly: _"...I did?"_
* Camera moves up and down *
I absolutely adored this when I was tiny, I was however banned from watching it when I tried storing my toys in the couch during the cleanup parts lol
Deserved now face the wall
@@ErrorError-km7ibhilarious
My parents immigrated to the US from Vietnam when I was really young, with no idea how to speak English. I distinctly remember watching this show all the time. That’s so cool that they wanted this show to be accessible to non English speaking children! I never realized why I enjoyed this show so much as a little kid until now! :’)
What I got from that "where do clowns come from?" part was that after a good performance all the clowns get together, get drunk, and have a clown orgy. And since no one really knows whos kid it is they all "accept it as their own" kid.
Lol
Yeah that's actually more detailed than what I thought but it makes sense
a "clorgy", if you will
@@issy.with.s I will
Lmao this is the best comment and comment thread on TH-cam. A “clorgy,” hahaha
So some fun facts about Alyson Court post-show.
She did alot of work at Capcom, particularly the Resident Evil series where she was the original voice of Claire Redfield (they didn't bring her back for Rev2 or the remake sadly)
She voiced Jubilee in Marvel vs Capcom Clash of Super Heroes.
And most famously, she was apart of the localization of Megaman X5 where she named the Maverick bosses after Guns n Roses band members due to her husband's love of the band (her husband also worked at Capcom apparently)
Holy Shit.
Loonette named the Guns N Roses Mavericks.
What a bizarre connection.
Loonette is responsible for the creation of Duff McWhalen
Consider my mind blown
On the topic of voice acting, Alyson Court and Lisa Yamanka (who both did voice acting on the Nelvana series "Timothy Goes To School") previously did voice work on the original Resident Evil 2.
She was also Island Princess in The Noddy Shop, and hosted the CBC's kids programming block for a while (when it was Get Set For Life).
Those were fun facts!
I grew up as a child watching this. I was a first generational American-Filipino from NYC. Watching this which helped me reassess things. Very nostalgic.
Wow, this takes me back. She sure is flexible... My legs hurt now just watching that clock segment.
“too old at 37” “grandma clown” oof
37 is still young
too old to play a kid :P but yeah 37's still mad young
Alyson Court was 43 when she reprised Loonette for that 2016 comedy sketch show lmao
To a kid that might as well be a billion years old
sorry but 37 is really old though, like it’s the age of getting things ready for retirement, your 401k, your kids’ savings for college, plus 37 people are getting fat and going bald, you know?
I’m sorry WHAT?? Her Hair caught on FIRE?!! That sounds like a bit a clown would do
I had no idea that happened, either!
I'm more concerned that her friend did it?
@@ah-nononoo Most people's hair goes out when you light it. Curly people's hair tend to have flammable chemicals on it to contain the frizz, so I could see the lighthearted intent just simply going up in flames.
I remember a similar thing happened to my sister's good friend at her birthday party. The poor girl leaned forward to blow out the candles and her hair went up in flames.
@@MsKassandraKotaku lol. That's not funny.
