Great video! This sold me on this being my new all around bike. Set it up with the shorter chain stay. I appreciate all the details you put into your review.

      It's such a good one!

The instinct is a great cornering bike with longish chainstays. Rocky's attention to detail and frame quality are some of the best in the Industry. Nice review and riding. I have a 2023 Instinct C30 and it is a great all-arounder and rides dead silent.

Nice to see you Tess again! Your riding skills are impressive, and I see that you've embraced clipless :) ... nice.

I have. I celebrate all pedal choices, but I do prefer to ride clipped in, myself. 😉

@@dustybettymtb The moment you learn reflex to clip-out, there is more posotives, energy transfer is tremendous. Did you tried MTB shoes with 13 factor of stiffness? (S-Works Recons) They are transfering so much! :) But no walking in them :D hahhaaa

Thanks for the review. This is on my short list. When I test rode one, I had a few pedal strikes. May have been shock adjustment. Did you notice more strikes than normal?

I didn't. Maybe the BB and crank length are close enough to my personal bike that I didn't notice?

How does it compare to your ripmo v2?

The instinct has more pop and play. I would say the ripmo v2 liked to stay glued to the ground more compared to this one. So if you want to make a straight smooth dash down the hill as efficiently as possible, the ripmo is probably a better fit. If you like to jib and play around the Instinct might be better. Similar travel range though on both and they can hit all the same types of trails. You probably prefer the ripmo V2 if you like that climbing feel where the rear wheel just stays glued to the ground the whole time, even if it means losing a little bit of efficiency (And some people love that flavor.) I prefer the feel of the Instinct climbing. It's a strong pedaling platform that's very efficient and I can spring up off the rear wheel without losing so much energy.

@@dustybettymtb awesome! thanks for the feed back. The instinct sounds very similar to a revel rascal or yeti sb130/140 in terms of pedaling and popiness. Love yours and Steven's 2 channels. Been praying for his recovery. Hope you have a blessed day =)

It's the Julbo forest Evo. Love it. The all black one looks especially cool.
