She is a great character. I really liked her relationship with Ivy, as she genuinely has a fondness for her and is very kind to her. I also like how she was very principled and supported the workers who were employed by her father. She's also the one member of the Meldrum family that Alf seems to genuinely to like and respect.
He's a funny character but also a sleazy prick. He knocks up five maids and doesn't seem the least bit guilty about the fact that they have been fired, and will likely become a social pariah due to the social mores of the period.
My oldest friend, who came out as lesbian twenty years ago, always liked this programme because of Cissy. She said "at last there's someone like me!" I'm always amazed that You Rang M'Lord isn't really known these days. It was funny and very socially observant, and of course the actors were great, my favourites were Teddy and the boot boy, he made me laugh just by existing

I mean, there’s honestly not that many of us in the world. I can’t fathom why we have to be in every bloody program. It just gets boring with more stereotypes by the minute.

My favourites were Mabel and Henry, they were both so funny. I didn't like Mrs Lipton at all. I'd have to fight Teddy Meldrum as I loved Madge Cartwright's maid Rose
This is an incredibly funny show. It’s not streaming on any network. Why? It’s not PC. We all know it’s not PC. But funny is funny. We are throwing away great shows because they don’t meet standard. Whose standard? I’m wearing my big girl pants, I can figure out what to take with a grain of salt. And if in fact this was pulled by the BeeB, it’s stupid from a business standpoint, you might just gain subscribers to Britbox.

Evolution is very slow in achieving true Democracy but slowly and surely it will be achieved as Wealthy people realise their wealth will be removed if they do not remove poverty, which will also reduce prison inmate numbers as Drug Cartels are identified and identify criminals destroyed, based on police learning how to identify Drug addicts when they are driving vehicles, which cause many fatal road accidents , which was indicative to my x wife and I when as a long term drug addict our eldest son Neil was killed when riding is cycle on a late dark rainy windy night during 1999, parents never expect to outlive their children.
