No it doesn't require one Pretty much the same type of belt that goes on a compressor and they do not run tensioners either

you should replace those hoses too
I replaced all the hoses on the motor less than 3 years ago
do you actually notice any reduction in noise?
It's hard to say but the vibration is definitely down a bit
A serpentine belt has Vs on BOTH sides of the belt...what you have is a Poly-V belt.
Certain teen belts are not grooved on both sides
I guess the drive belt manufacturers have it all wrong.@@cruisingbrandijo5428
