So glad there's a way to dye acrylic yarn now! My close friend is very allergic to wool. I enjoy dying yarn, and I hated that I couldn't make knitted items out of my hand dyed yarns for her. But now I can!
Does it work well? I have a black and red acrylic/viscose yarn woven shawl I want to dye burgundy so bad. Do you think if I tried using like a plum purple dye it would leave the red parts burgundy and the black parts maybe with a deep purple tint? Would appreciate any top or advice, thank so much.😊
It really doesn’t work! It felts the acrylic yarn AND barely any colour stays in unfortunately. I’ve wasted a bunch on dyes and yarns trying thinking it was me but nope....
