What everyone needs to realize is HTF was just a good regional crate racing team until 3 years ago and they got their 1st Super motor and now they have brought alot of attention to themselves and to dirt SLM racing through social media. They are still learning how to race SLMs on a National level against the best in the business. Look how long it took Davenport, Madden McCreaddie and all the others to get to the top of their game . Do i think they need Vinny or Rumley as a advisor for awhile ? Yes but give them a break , they are living most of our dreams making a living doing what we all love ❤️
been watching them for a while, for sure they don't need anyone making excuses for them, some tracks even the playing field as most of the old time dirt racers know. this team looks as good as any they race against.
My daddy raced againtst billy moyer sr. Freddy smith. Bill frye. Wendall wallace. Donnie moran sr.a wet behind ears scott bloomquist. I could go on & on. We raced out of arkansas. Because they had kinda stabilized at about 20th, weren't moving forward, and 11th through 26th pays the exact same amount. Those super motors can only get so many laps on them and are expense to rebuild. Also, they still have the rest of the tour to go, and taking a chance at tearing up the car on a tight track that was getting rougher by the second to maybe gain a spot or two for no increase in pay is bad pot odds. No, but unfortunately that is the truth about the current payout structure in dirt racing, and most teams have to carefully manage these kinds of risk/reward/costs/payout decisions to keep the wheels rolling.
