Hi Kurt,
Nice job on a deceptively difficult piece. A couple of questions…
1. Are you using your normal lead horn ?
2. Are you using your normal mouth piece?
Reason I ask, I believe Maurice Andre, when he recorded tended to use a smaller bore horn when on Bb so to be closer to the smaller horns he tended to favor. Do you think a smaller bore horn would have given you better control?

I'm using my main horn which is a very large .468 Claude Gordon 1979 Benge Bb trumpet. I'm also using my normal mouthpiece. I don't see any spot in that piece of music where there could have been any more control, do you? 100% control my friend!

I wasn’t trying to imply that you were not in control. Maybe I should ask the question this way, under what circumstances would you choose a small bore horn for a piece.
