A Swim in the River Avon at Lacock

- This short swim/bouldering exercise began in the Avon just east of Lacock Abbey in Wiltshire.
There is parking in the village and access is either by a permissive path in the Abbey grounds or a public footpath to the east of the river. Egress is via a bank into a cow field and then a public footpath.
The water level was quite low, so I had to pull/walk/climb/avoid human detritus during the swim. I also encountered a family of swans (excuse their language - the feeling between our respective species is evidently mutual).

Don't think I'll add that one to one of my must do swims.
Why would you want to swim in there?!
I enjoy swimming outdoors.
Bro. Easy on the swimming. It doesn't look wholesome. Actually it does look wholesome, but more for wildlife than people.
