I feel like so many gospel artists are still needed in the world today such as rev James moore Frank Williams rev Timothy wright Doctor Mattie Moss Clark Albertina walker Inez Andrews and so many more but i thank God for the time that they were here
This song came to my spirit today. I haven't heard it in over 20 years. The Spirit knows what our spirit needs and what speaks to our soul. Praise God!
Both Rev James Moore & Rev Daryl Coley were ahead of their time. You couldn't find one artist from any genre of music still living today that could touch either of the two. #RipToThemBoth
The Lopez Family Extravaganza Tonex can match Daryl Coley....listen to Come Sunday....not taking anything from Mr Coley. HE is one of the greatest but Tonex did that
No disrespect to Tonex but I think Daryl was His inspiration...Yes indeed... Daryl and James DID set the standard for many artists today... It's just a shame that we don't hear too many artists pulling from the old school any more...
Simply put, THE BEST TO EVER DO IT!!! I’m a 38 year old man and I thank God my mama raised me the way she did. This was all you heard in my house, along with the Vicky; Shirley, the williams brothers, Bolton brothers, canton spirituals and many more. I’m a father of 3 girls…….8, 5, and 2 and this is all they know. This music was purely for the soul. It made you jump and shout but it made you want to wake up everyday and be a better person for the greater good of mankind. We don’t have that today unfortunately. May god bless all of you and keep pressing on!!!!
I loved watching the director as Mr. Moore astounded us with his vocal prowess. The director looked at Mr. Moore, then looked at the audience and laughed as if to say, "Can you believe how fortunate we are to have him lead this song?!" What a treat!
Please forgive the French, but Mississippi & Rev Moore, that awesome pianist, drummer, organist and dynamic choir has turned "Plant my feet into a rockin' dynamic kick a-- song. It has never ever been sung better. God bless.
Rip RevJames Moore Jesus said make no judgement with or without teeth his voice was so powerful the Holy Ghost was just flowing threw him marvelous singing indeed receive the message praise the lord no matter what hallelujah thank you Jesus .
No matter how old I get...this song is one of many that moves me. Remember my mom cooking Sunday supper, dad was working on some things around the house, siblings and I was goofing around but when the record came on...we all stop what we were doing and come together as a family through praise and worship before church service. #misstheoldschool #blessedtimes #family
I enjoy watching the choir director's expression when James looks down at his feet. Mr. Moore - a gospel vocal master. But wait! First, let's ponder the source of all talent - The Creator!
I love the way God uses his anointed vessel to get his word to his Chosen people. We know God word will accomplish that which it is sent to do. It will not come back void. I love the word of God. It helps me to live from day to day!
You just grew up in the wrong time. There were times in the past when those two would be on the same program. Clark Sisters too. They wrecked many a church.
Well... I can honestly say that I would much rather have God's anointing and Holy Ghost Power with Missing teeth THAN ALL the teeth in the world AND Don't know Jesus! Amen! There are people rich and famous all around us Everyday who can afford ANYTHING that they want! BUT they are on their way to Hell because they have not accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior! They totally ignore his death, burial, and resurrection! How he laid on that old rugged cross on a hill called Calvary and hung his head and died for the sins of this world! Amen! THAT'S what folks NEED to focus on instead of the Man of God's teeth or no teeth! TO KNOW JESUS! THAT IS the MAIN THING! #Glorayyyy!
By the grace of God, Rev. James Moore is so vocally gifted. I love his ministry, & I thank God for having sent him to share the Lord's awesome powers. May the late Rev. Moore rest in perfect peace.
OMG!!!!!!!!!! I haven't heard this song since I was a teenager! I was a freshman in high school! Thank you Jesus Christ because I forgot the name of this song and I've been looking for it for so long! All I could remember was the lyric "Lord, plant my feet on higher ground."
To me, one of most underrated singers...I meet him before playing the organ which he is a beast on and one of the nicest person ever. Never act like a divo, always humble...
Rev. Moore can create a note inside of a note, preach the word through song that a child can understand and catboyzee and marcus carter are "judging a book by it's cover"! I guess you two really missed his testimony, LORD HAVE MERCY!
James Moore was a true Saint God could sing the roof off the building and can shout with the best of them..Praise God for presence from when he was in the earth..R.I.H. James Moore

Relax 64F00tball, just some good natured ribbing amongst country folks. We all agree Rev. James Moore is one of the greatest and most beloved gospel singers ever. That's why I'm back watching this video; gotta get my music lesson. RIP...
He's Church of God In Christ so he's actually Elder James Moore. I remember sitting in the C. H. Mason Memorial Choir and would be singing among Twinkie Clark under the direction of the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark during the Holy Convocation of the Church Of God In Christ in Memphis, TN back in the 1980s !
Amen! That intro was out of this world because it was touched by the Holy Spirit. Wish singing like that would come to Australia, people would not only be blown away but they will definitely recieve the Lord Jesus as their Saviour and friend. Especially for my Aboriginal people...
I am planted,I'll shall not be moved by the works of the enemy haters or whatever the enemy throws, God have my back, hallelujah hallelujah and hallelujah.
What a great man of God I had a chance to being his presence as he was having rehearsals and recording albums. In life people cherish the moments rip Reverend James Moore
I've read about this song in Bryan Stevenson's wonderful book " Just Mercy". He is an Afro-American lawyer based on Alabama!! Desmond Tutu calls him " Nelson Mandela of America". Honestly, I think it is everyones " responsibility" to read that book. If you don't know the man, you can start by watching his excellent TED Talk " We need to talk about injustice". Thanks a lot for the upload!
