Yep! "Dexter's Wacky Races" also used the "Penelope Pitstop" music track heard at 0:20 and 1:56. Given they apparently still exist in digital form, I hope they get posted online somewhere in the future! (After all, the "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!" and "The New Scooby-Doo Movies" cues were unearthed five years ago.)
0:40 Country: I go easy with that Instant Grow plant food. Groove: Why? Country: Cause it’s dangerous with those flowers. Groove: Why is it dangerous? Country: Cause they’re tiger lilies, that’s why. (tiger lilies growling) Groove: Ooh-hoo! Now he tells me.
Especially amusing of the bumpers: That starting at 4:10, which deploys Scoots' Magic Crayon device to the point where Scoots actually "takes a dive" into the picture just created. As a matter of fact, I've imagined Scoots learning diving in a way during a particularly emotional summer, with some help from what could be called a Mysterious Stranger by name of Amy Catline (my creation).
Episodes 1 and 14 actually do have an additional bumper that was missing from those videos. The additional segment for episode 14 was shown the last time the show aired ten years ago, but the bumper for episode 1 is much rarer, as I only saw it on a video here on TH-cam that has been deleted years ago
@@TheSPB22 Episode 1: Country is reading a newspaper and asks Scoots, who is drawing with his magic crayon, to open a window. When told there is no window, he draws one with his magic crayon. Out pops Chessie the Autograph Hound. Episode 14: Kitty Jo is christening a ship. Once the bottle hits the ship, the ship disintegrates. She tries again, but Groove decides to do so this time. Once the bottle hits the ship, Groove disintegrates
Interesting how they recycled some music from prior and even current shows in the usual Hanna-Barbera fashion. At 0:20 and 1:56 is a background music track from "The Perils of Penelope Pitstop". The music starting at 9:31 is an old "Wacky Races" background track (and would also show up in the Dexter's Laboratory episode "Dexter's Wacky Races" decades later). 15:10, 16:42 and 22:30 also uses a "Wacky Races" track that would become one of H-B's go-to music tracks for circus acrobatic scenes.
Meanwhile, just picture as rejoinder unto these bumpers some classic example of broadcasting erratum from the late Kermit Schafer's "Pardon My Blooper!" collections. Personal fave: "This is the Dominion Network of the Canadian Broadcorping Castration." Or, for that matter, some choice TV-station signoff annoucement.
What are the chances you have the whole series-or at least the Cattanooga Cats songs? Although they’re on TH-cam the quality isn’t the greatest. I’d do anything to get the songs sounding as good as these bumpers. I loooove their music.
9:31 i recognize that music everywhere. It's a Wacky Races music that later got reused in Dexter's wacky races
they had a serial killer on wacky races??
@@starofjustice1 what?

I’m surprised that Bill Callaway is still with us!
He went on from the sixties cartoons to the voice of Beach Head (aka Wayne R. Sneeden, Jr.)

Very interesting, I've heard about the first one before and it's very cool to hear about the second for the first time, thanks!
