    Your going to have to paint them calipers and drums now, 😁 like the look though.

      It’s on the list of things to do! I’m going to make it worth it’s whole and rebuild the calipers before painting them.

      @@DABDIY I did mine with Halfords High Temperature Engine Enamel Paint in red. Its cheaper than caliper paint and higher temperature. Did them during the first lockdown and they still look great, when clean.

      I’ll be doing mine with red Cerakote ceramic paint, the same stuff I painted my dashboard with. Temperature resistant up to 600 degrees Celsius.

    Great video as always. Just a quick comment for the editing, would it be possible for you to equalise the sound in future videos? You talk in such a quiet and calm manner - which to be clear, is great - and then, as a headphone user, the music is much louder!

      I’ll certainly try to do that. The editing software I use doesn’t have that capability, but I’m sure I’ll find a way to do that 👍🏻

      It’s definitely a fair point

      @@DABDIY appreciated! What software do you use? Something like DaVinci Resolve is free and has the ability to if you're editing on a computer.

      I use Open Shot. It reminds me a little bit of Adobe Premier, but without the Adobe price tag lol

    Hi Nice Vid, one thing though, did you use the steel wheel bolts to put the alloys on with ? Usually you will need proper alloy wheel bolts with the correct taper on to hold them, just wouldn't want a wheel coming off on you !

      I used alloy wheel bolts with a 60 degree taper on them to fit the wheel perfectly. I even bought black ones so you wouldn’t see them that much.

      A week or so later, I even coated them with a ceramic coating. When I clean the car, the dirt just falls off the wheels with very little effort at all. These wheels are probably what I’m most proud of on this car 👌🏻

    Great job my friend it looks fantastic, but because of the stud pattern can you remember what Honda you had them off.👍..

      I don’t know what car they came off, I never saw it. They were sold as a set of wheels on eBay and all I did was win an auction and collect from the buyer in a car park out the back of a Mercedes estate.

    Hi
    Was that Honda alloys on the Citroen c1 ? Plus do you know any other alloys that fit the car say Mazda.
    Keep up the good videos

    • @DABDIY

      They weren’t Honda alloys, but they were alloys with a Honda badge in them for some reason. These wheels came off an MX5 track car.

    Hi there, what is the biggest alloy size THAT CAN FIT an aygo MK1?

    • @DABDIY
      @DABDIY  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That depends on how much you want to do to make them fit. If you don’t want to do any modification, I’d stick with 14” wheels. If you’re happy to do some light modification, you can go to 15” with some wheel spacers if necessary. If you’re happy to do what is necessary, I’ve seen people go as high as 17” wheels. Please keep in mind that if you make your wheels bigger, you’re increasing your rolling resistance, therefore decreasing acceleration.

      If I need spacers or spigot rings would it wear my wheel bearings down faster?

    • @DABDIY
      @DABDIY  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @atki2004 it does put a little extra pressure on the wheel bearings, but it’s not as bad as people say. The bigger the spacer, the more the pressure because of the amount the wheel is being cantilevered away from the bearing surface. I haven’t had any problems though.

    Hi mate what size tyres have you got on the car now

    • @DABDIY
      @DABDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Still these ones for now, need new tyres before the MOT though. I’ll be looking at 190/45/15 ish to try to prevent the wheel arch rubbing.

      @@DABDIY lm looking for a set but I want to lower it abit but not sure what wheel or tyre size I will need

    • @DABDIY
      @DABDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your best bet is to either physically measure the tyre you’ve got in mind and subtract the amount you intend to lower or ask your question in the City Bug Club on Facebook, there are far more knowledgeable people than I in that group.
