I find it difficult at times to relate to current media, despite my age of only 22 years, due mostly to the fact I was raise by my great-grandparents. They were old fashioned southerners who gave me an old soul and southern spirit. This reminds me of my dear BeBe (great-grandmother) and her lovely southern charm and humor. So glad I came across Jeanne Robertson. Truly a classic and lovely comedian with a new young fan!
But we have lost this treasure you know, now bow your head, she has passed away. It’s really a sad day that we have lost this Southern belle, she is so much fun and so entertaining. I bet she has God laughing and enjoying her funny stories. It really makes me sad that she is gone so soon.
Going back over her stories again and they still make me laugh. Some I have heard over and over and I laugh like it was the first time. You will be miss Jeanne
Thank you for the amazing stories, I grew up outside of Bristol, Va. my husband, who by the way is a LB! Moved me and our children to Cincinnati Ohio, 30 years ago, and now our children have grown and have given us grandchildren so we can’t move back home yet! I love listening to someone other then myself talking in a southern accent!
I was born and raised in upper East Tennessee approx 30 miles from Bristol... one of the highlights of my life was riding around the Bristol Motor Speedway with my Mom and Daddy ❤️Love this story
I am so blessed to hear Jeanne. I shared some of those on you tube with a friend that has been really sick for a long time. She laughed til she cried--thank you for letting us see these free, and one day I hope to see you live.. God bless you as you continue to entertain us with great, clean fantastic humour !
Hilarious!! Jeanne, you are the best storyteller without a doubt. Whenever I'm feeling a little down, you always lift me up. Thank you for teaching me to look for the humor in every situation.
I always share Jeanne's name to people to introduce her to more people, because she stays in the present when we share her with others! Love, love, love all of you!
Whenever I 'need' a change of attitude I listen to you Jeanne. I'm always mentioning you to people who need humor in their life. If you ever make it back to Pensacola I hope to be front and center! Thank you and bless you for sharing your gift of laughter. Ps a hey y'all shoutout to Left brain, Toni, Norma Rae and Jane Tucker;)
Yes my daughter has been diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disease and so I came on here quite often. During times of stress you really need laughter and Jeanne sure can give it to you that little bit of comfort for a few minutes. Please sharewww.gofundme.com/kaitlynn039s-struggle-with-pnh-autoimmune
Love to hear you talking about my home track here in Bristol. But yeah, jeans and tee shirt (one with a driver logo) is a requirement for any race, especially Bristol. LOL!
Jeanne, you are such a delight! I love every video that you do. This one is extra special to me. Bristol Tennessee/Virginia is my hometown.I've lived here all my life The Paramount and Bristol Motor Speedway are treasures to Bristol. Thank you and God Bless You!
Thank you Ms. Helton. Even though I've not been in the TriCities area in 50 years, it's still home. "My People" come from that area and many still live there...so it's "home". Even though I've lived in Alabama all these many years, I still consider myself a Tennessean and always will. Memories are what make home, not physical location.
Absolutely you're the very best story teller Jeanne. I know I can always rely on you to give me a darn good belly laugh. Kindest Regards Chrissy from South Africa
Very cute and funny, Jeanne!!! Thank you again! Merry Christmas also! Hoping and praying that you and left brain have a good holiday and a great year ahead!
I love all your videos Mrs. Robertson. I was so looking forward to seeing you live in Auburn in November. I hope you will be able to rescheule after this virus calms down. Love your sense of humor.
I'm lovin' the necklace that Mrs. Robertson is wearing. Actually, I love just about everything about her. I try to listen to something funny every night before going to bed. Thank you for the laughs!
Miss Jeanne, I wonder if you know how much good you do for people. I am carefully hoarding your videos, no more than 2 a day, and I hope it takes me a long time to get through them all. Of course, when I do, I will just start over - these will never get old! Better than medicine!
Jeanne I pray to have still have amazing friend's like you have later on in life. Have two that are 43 and 40 year's of my life I count my blessings for every day.
Oh, I wish I'd had Jane's number before I went to the Charlotte Motor Speedway some 20 years ago. I was the only one of the 150,000 spectators that didn't have on jeans and a t-shirt. And the t-shirts were all speedway related ones too. I actually went to one of the t-shirt vendors and bought a t-shirt and put it on in the bathroom. When I returned to my friends in the stands they all booed me because I'd picked a racer that they all hated.
Oh, bless your heart! You should have looked around at your friends' shirts before getting a *Kyle Busch* one! LOL. A nice, generic "Coke 600" or simple "NASCAR" shirt would have been fine. BTW, my name is Jane, too & I live in Race City (Mooresville, NC).
I did the same thing in Daytona except worse. We flew down to Daytona just for the race and I wore a cute little skirt and matching jacket. I was such an idiot. It was hot as hades. I went to the vendors and came back wearing one of their t-shirts and the only pants they were selling -- Budweiser pants. hahaha.
James Laidler No doubt! I moved near the Southern 500 venue when I got married, and my husband was kind enough to take me to that NASCAR race. After we walked in and waited in line for a while, we got behind an elderly couple. They were done up to the nines,I think my husband I had on some regular clothes, but she turned and whispered to us “is there a shortage of britches and bras I don’t know about?”.
Jeannie, I've never had the pleasure of seeing you in person but I've seen every video you've every posted. And P.S., I'm from Bristol and on the side, worked at BMS starting back when it was Bristol International Raceway. Spanning over 25 years. I love everything you do and hope to meet you one day.
My father-in-law had her speak at a West Virginia IRWA CONFERENCE and said that she was the warmest, most gracious speaker. He was so impressed that when he turned to leave, she remembered his name. 😁
My 15 year old daughter just tracked BLACK paint all over the carpet in several rooms and tried to hide it. The only thing that got me through it was blue Dawn and your videos. I am very much looking forward to telling this story in 10 years when I learn to laugh about it. Tonight I’m laughing at your stories but it’s just too soon to see the humour side of my story.
