After being away for about a year this was so helpful
I would like to see a video showing the proper way to cancel a ride when the rider goes into a store and disappears for 10 minutes or more. I must do it wrong because they are still able to rate me. My rating shouldn't suffer because they want to abuse the system.
why dont you just charge them more for waiting time?

This was excellent. I started driving about a week ago. Thought that the Uber Driver learning materials were telling me everything about how to use the app fully. Boy was I wrong. Wish I had seen this sooner. You talked about the search glass putting you into destination mode, but did not say anything about how to use that mode correctly. I think I will go look for that info now.

In fact, Uber must open a one or two-day course for new drivers who are just starting out Uber job. It seems simple on the surface, but in reality, it helps the drivers and Uber companies.

I have a question with regards to the 'return ride' as a driver. if i drop off someone an hour away from my area, and want to head home, would i want to keep my driving on. I am only getting paid for the 'ride' part right. Other than being out of the area, is their any plus' to staying on. thank you.
Great video, but can you please explain what some of these things are? Like Quest, Uber Pro and Connect. Also, elaborate on things like how many declines we can have, or cancellations? Or let me know where I can find more detail about all this so I can maximize my usage. Thank you!

How do you decline a back to back ride request? The back to back request screen can cover up the directions for the current trip, how do you stop that?

Thanks for sharing the info. I do have a question when I receive a request, why I can't see the trip details (fare, guest destination). I can only see the pickup location.

What does it mean when you are offline and a portion of the map area is grey with either $$$ or $$$$ icons on it? Are they really potential rides or just trying to get you to drive in that area?

Wow!!!! that’s a lot for a driver to do while eyes on road for safety and well-being for others. Obviously, I have a lot to learn about driving again with UBER..
Your video was helpful. Learning how to change the address on my end was helpful. Anyways maybe someone can help me with my not recieving Quests issue.
Is this on iOS? I have Android and don't have the coffee cup icon to pause trips.
Edit: I just checked the play store for an update. I'll find out if it gave me the coffee cup icon on Tuesday. It may be necessary to include the app version as well as whether or not the app is on iOS or Android. Many apps release updates on one before the other, with iOS typically being first to get improvements.
Why can’t I see where my trip is going to? I only find this out after picking the person up. I am in NJ. Any way around this? Have gotten screwed a few times already

Hi bro , I have just started uber rid , alot of time the order is coming, I accept the order but it won't accept, after a couple seconds the message comes, it says an error acured try it again and dismiss , and the trip reguest is gone. Then it counted on my account that I have declined the request but I haven't. Any advice please and thank you

Somtimes passengers like to be dropped a little before their actual destination in the app. Do you simple click on the bars at the bottom and select drop off passenger? To drop them off @ a different location than what is in the app. (it happens sometimes)

Maybe you can help me. I drove uber 3 yeas in Iowa city, IA. I moved to Pennsylvania 2 years ago but didn't drive for two years because of Covid. But I decided to drive again about a month ago. Here's my problem. When I go to opportunities I see Saved, Promotions, and Reservations. And below that it says new opportunities are coming check again soon or try to go online to earn right now. And the rest of the page is blank. I'm not seeing any Quests or Promotions and I'm checking every day. I can't get any Uber support to pick up my call. So I'm frustrated. Hopefully you can help. Nice video. Can you tell me or direct me to a video that can show me an iPhone's capability when switching between rideshare apps?Someone told me their iPhone 11 wouldn't allow her use multiple windows. So If Uber is on my screen will Lyft continue working in the background and sending me requests?
If you have both Uber and Lyft online and ready for rides then you can either Uber or Lyft open on screen and still get requests from the other app. It’ll come in as a notification, just click it or swipe left at the bottom of the phone to switch apps. iPhone needs to do a better job at multitasking but yes you can still receive requests from both if you are online for both.
@@Therideshareguy thank you for the info. I currently have the note 10 plus. my phone provider is pushing me to get the free upgrade for the iphone 13 max. is this a wise upgrade or should I stick with getting another android?

When you clicked on the options for the types of trips you have access to, why didn't it give you the choice for Deliveries? (UberEats) Don't you have that in the Twin Cities?
Maybe he doesn't want to do deliveries so therefore didn't sign up for it
What happens if the passenger requests to be dropped off say a mile or so further than their original destination. If I type in the new address will a new fare be applied?
Yes. It will adjust the fare if their is a destination change.

I don't have the search button
Last year California drivers had full trip info with a complete map and 15 seconds to decide. This Upfront Fare and Trip Radar has secret black box payouts, no destinations on the maps, and less time to decide. Most of the offers are pure garbage. It's a pay cut for the drivers. Why would you accept $4.97 for a trip that will take longer than 15 minutes to complete and is more than 5.5 miles? $4.97 is a pay cut compared to what that trip would have paid before the change to Upfront Fares and Radar.
Does the creator or anyone know where is the Uber last trip button ?
Lyft has one; but can’t find Uber’s last trip button so they don’t stack me when I need to get fuel after the trip I’m on.
I believe it affects my acceptance rate if I don’t accept rides when given to me while on a ride.
If anyone knows, I appreciate the help.
Not sure if using the coffee icon while on a trip works for this ?
By the way, Lyft has a “Last Trip” button works great, why not Uber ?
Just press the red button you use to log off. If you are on a ride it will log you out automatically after you have completed that ride. If you already have another ride in the queue then it will let you drop off your current passenger, pick up the next passenger complete his/her ride and then it will log you off. The main thing is once you touch that red button you will not receive any more requests. All you have to do is finish up the work you already have and then you're done!
@@PlumbPitiful I just found out you can you the pause button while on a trip. Hit that icon and it turns from white to blue to show it is activated for no more requests while you are on a trip. This stops any more request while I finish up a trip.
Hi there. I'm an Uber driver in Florida. My question is, can I have more than one vehicle attached to my Uber account? Right now I have a four door sedan, UberX. I recently test drove a Ford Explorer, with a third row, which would qualify as UberXL.
Yes. Just make sure you have the right vehicle selected when you go online.
I am a new UberX driver. My Uber app just show up the first part of the trip (the time and distance to pick up the customer). My app didn’t show up the second part of the trip info which is the distance from the pick up location to the final location and I can’t see the ride price too. Do any of you have that same problems too?

Are you talking about on the request screen? You may not have upfront fares yet.

I turned on my uberx but It only showed me the pick up location it didn't show me the destination. So I haven't picked up any riders yet lol. I just do Uber eats for now
Your market may not have upfront pricing yet. Keep an eye out for it in the future.
On my app there is no phone call icon to left of rider's name. It's a flag icon. My phone is new with plenty of memory and I've updated the app. I tried to get help from uber but got transferred all around. Why do I have a flag icon instead of phone call icon and what can I do about it?

Is it worth doing uber? I just lost my job and planning to rent a car with uber. I am feeling a little sad and think uber is the quickest way to get back and start earning. How much do you guys make per month if you can share how many rides you do and the tips you get? I really appreciate it.

Uber is a completely unprofessional and corrupt company to work with.
At various times, I started noticing that I would arbitrarily stop getting trips even when the app said I was in a busy area, which made me lose a lot of income.
I had my home city arbitrarily changed as to keep me from getting the bonuses for that city, and to make me lose income. And it takes 2 weeks to change your city back.
I had my account turned off arbitrarily telling me that I needed a background check even though I’d had one last month.
I had riders reporting me for things I’d never done.
If all that excites you, Uber is the place for you to drive.

This company is making too much money out of my car, my phone, my internet and they pay me a little just for giving me a bridge between me and the client. This is pure exploitation.
Uber charing more than %30 from drivers, and no one has asked for what? Why are they charging so much??

WARNING... WARNING. Dear potential drivers, as a Rideshare driver for the past 8 years I can honestly tell you don't do it. By the time you pay for wear and tear on your car gas and insurance you will barely get by. Don't get me wrong there is a honeymoon phase... But that will soon fade!

That's not true for every person in every market in every situation. True, it's important to understand the true costs of doing it but in some cases, it is a very worthwhile investment. Very few things in life are "all or nothing"' as you are implying.
