My primary tools are samplers (granular too), and of course, an instrument or two for leads/melodies. Cycles is always certainly at the top of list of my samplers, and is always one of the first tracks I open to either jam or start writing material. In addition to a few other software and acoustic instruments that i use, Auras is one that i use side by side, with Cycles, where I can make samples that i feed into Cycles. It is (Cycles) my most important instrument without a doubt. To me, Cycles sound engine sounds better than a lot of hardware sampling instruments.

Bar Mor I bought it since the last time I posted. It works perfectly. It doesn’t accept the drag and drop option but you can insert your own samples via the users panel in Kontakt or Maschine .

But after stumbling into Cycles today, I'm thinking I probably won't even open the box and I'll just sell the pedal. :) One question though - How many instances of Cycles are you able to run at a time before things get bogged down?
J. Shelton nice! My honest advice would be to keep both and sell something else :) They are both so unique, and I use them in very different ways. But, whichever tool you choose, best of luck! Cycles can be pretty hungry, and it’s not uncommon that I’ll need to freeze or export an instance in order to get smooth playback. It doesn’t bother me, but do know that you may not be able to run 3-4 instances.
I think it's a steal considering all it can do (also, it's $290). A lot of tools with a fraction of its functionality cost a lot more. But to each his own!

They’re very different! I suppose it would come down to whether you’re more comfortable working with hardware or within the daw

It can be fairly taxing on the CPU. Not always, though, and when I run into issues I just freeze the track.
Matt Lowery I feel the same with using a bunch of Max for Lives LFOs. So fun but after a while it’s time to freeze em up
