You hit the nail on the head. The fun of crawling is in watching the tires/suspension work and finding the next obstacle to crawl. Unfortunately, a lot of people try crawling with affordable crawlers that aren't heavy enough to make the tires/suspension flex realistically. My SCX10 is heavily modified and has a crap ton of low down weight, so it flexes very realistically. It's an awesome truck to watch.
You’re right man, I get tons more of that flex and scale appearance from something hefty like the 10th scale crawlers. Just gotta get past that price barrier! Totally worth it in my opinion 😊
Great Video. Opening peoples minds to other aspects of the hobby is awesome. Be careful, hard body scale trucks comes next. New subscriber. Thanks for the video.
Appreciate the comment man! Thanks for the subscribe and I’m glad you liked the video. Maintaining an open mind benefits everybody you’re totally right!
The crawl spot is so good! It’s a local forest, park and beach nearby that is just riddled with spots like these. So much fun for crawling. Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed the vid!
I started at the opposite end & had nothing but crawlers & did not want any fast RC’s or bashers but Eventually being a RC enthusiast gets the best of you so I got one now I have a bunch from 6 s Mojave & Fire Team to 4s Losi Lasernut 3s Rlaarlo Terminator & Rustler VXL & smaller Rlaarlo off-road buggy & just got the Mojave Grom. The reason I didn’t want any was because I knew I’d break them but you learn it’s just part of it & I slowly went from slower bashers to faster ones & eventually you get the feel of them which is important if you don’t want to break parts things normally don’t just break it’s poor driving & landing awkward or just running into something so we usually only have ourselves to blame. 😂
Amen dude, and nice collection! I have the Mojave grom myself and love the little thing. You’re totally right, breaking parts is just part of bashing! Helps to love to tinker I think.
Yeah I can see how crawling can be addictive for sure now! Custom builds sound awesome! That must be comp level stuff you’re talking about huh? Crawling up straight up vertical walls and stuff?
Yes exactly some of it is I have great crawling at my finger tips…..big rocks perfect rocky coast when I can get time to hit it. Check me out….i mean even a rtr crawler take it chop the body lower the suspension band the front and move everything you can to the front then get beat tires you can…and bam

Looks like fun 👍
It was!
NOT GONNA LIE I THOUGHT I WOULDN'T LIKE IT BUT ONCE I TRYED IT I WAS IN ❤️❤️💯 WITH IT AND I PREFER CRAWLING OVER BASHING IT'S SO SCALE 💯💯
The scaleness really gets me too, I’m falling in love with it for sure
@TheHappyRC Yessir im bout to order that fms Ev Hummer
@@jonspikes4935 ooo nice dude, gonna have to do some shopping around myself
@TheHappyRC Yessir go for it
this looks like a great way to sneak an rc car past the wife, its for getting out in the woods...with the kids...
To some extent, bashing is fun but run time cannot compare to crawling.
Dude you’re so right, I’m in heaven with these run times compared to my 20-30 minute sessions with my bashers.
Jump that crawler!!
I do it ALL THE TIME haha it jumps pretty well too
@@TheHappyRC I go to the rocks looking for things to jump more so than obstacles to climb 😂
@@xjtorc lmao that’s hilarious, it’s like your brain is programmed to find things that would make excellent jumps every time you go out lol
gotta get that weight off the top........
That’s true, but I like the scale supplies so much I might just add more weight down below lol
